Today we got the honor of interviewing Ewelina (Kostek's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.

Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

Switaj: It was initially meant to be an account for photo dumping Kostek’s pictures, so I didn’t spam my facebook 😄 Then it turned into an electronic diary of our life and I could easily go back to important things. Then, I really started to develop a deeper interest in all things canine - sharing not only mine and Kostek’s life but also researching and sharing knowledge and my experiences with others.

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Switaj: My dog is not a pure breed - there’s hundreds, if not thousands or millions of pure bred french bulldogs, labradors, poodles and dachshunds out there, which - are obviously super adorable and I love them to bits, but my dog looks different - you can’t define him by one breed or label him with another. He just won’t fit any of the tickboxes which is what I love so much about him. Many mixed breed dogs/mutts are not given enough recognition just because they are not pure breed. Well, apart from that - he picks up my post, scrolls reels on my phone and makes people laugh with his huge ears 😄

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

Switaj: I don’t have a specific strategy. I post what’s currently on my mind, our updates, fun facts. I share things I’ve encountered in the canine world or recommend products that we have tried and genuinely love, books that I’ve read and inspiring people I’ve met in the dog lover community.

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Switaj: I have encountered criticism of the food I feed my dog. I don’t take these things to heart. I’m doing what’s best for my dog. I let people say what they think and move on.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Switaj: Be genuine. Don’t be afraid to share things as they truly are. Social media is what we make it. Most of all - enjoy it!

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

Switaj: My life revolves around my dog. Whether social media is involved or not. He is the best thing that happened to me.

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Switaj: When I was trying to do a Valentine’s Day photoshoot and gave him a red rose to hold in his mouth and he decided to eat it! 🌹🤦‍♀️😄

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

Switaj: Doing what I love

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

Switaj: I love making dog accessories - Kostek is my model, and we have opened an online store dogpawradise.co.uk where we sell handmade accessories. I am planning to take part in events and have our own stall, and Kostek - being the face of my store, promoting it with me! 🐾❤️
