Today we got the honor of interviewing Bella (Reyna's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.

Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

O’Hara: I started the page for Reyna when she was 3 months old because I wanted to have a chronicle of her growth and puppy hood to look back on. As she started to grow, I realized I was very interested in connecting with other Dalmatian owners and eventually became a part of the dog community on Instagram. Reyna brings so much laughter and joy into my life daily, that I know she could make other people smile as well! As we grew in the IG community we began to find camaraderie and build relationships with brands that we felt were useful, good quality, and an honor to be a part of.

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

O’Hara: I think what sets Reyna apart from other dogs is she has such a spunky, but loving personality and is absolutely adorable! She enjoys weekly adventures to experience new things in life. We bring our followers into those adventures and show them our real life to create a deeper connection.

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

O’Hara: We draw inspiration from daily life and behaviors, Reyna is full of personality and loves to wear clothes/accessories to look amazing! We love to capture all of her firsts, create themes or parties for every occasion, visit local spots and explore!

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

O’Hara: Fortunately, we have not encountered any negativity surrounding our page up to this point. Everyone in this community has been so nice and welcoming. If it does happen, we will move past it and continue with our chronicles.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

O’Hara: I would say to not be obsessed and compare the growth of other accounts to your own. Everyone grows at their own rate. You never know when your video will go viral and find your perfect community. Make sure you create a balance between social media and everyday life.

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

O’Hara: Reyna has brought so much spunk, love and chaos into our life. Being the youngest pup out of 3 in our home, there is always something going on. Not only is she the perfect playmate for our other pups, but also filled a gap in the home I never knew existed. She keeps us active and outdoorsy since she has so much energy to burn.

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

O’Hara: There are too many memories to count, but one memorable moment that comes to mind is Reyna’s first trip to the beach. Living in the low-country, we are surrounded by water, so that was something we wanted her to be familiar with. Not only did she love to play in the waves and run in the sand, she also found her favorite pastime, chasing the sea-foam as it blew away in the breeze. 5 months later, and she still loves to frolic after the foam.

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

O’Hara: There are several things that I love, but my main things are the friendships we have created with other dog influencers and companies we have chosen to work with, supporting their accounts and bringing attention to great products that you may have never heard of.

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

O’Hara: Always looking for new adventures and pet-loving brands to work with and share with our community. We are also looking forward to celebrating Reyna’s first birthday in September. Hold on to your life jacket, we are taking on kayaking and hitting the local waterways this summer!!
