Most Dog-Friendly Beaches & Parks in Miami
Everyone travels to Miami for the beaches. And if you’re traveling with your furry best friend, you’ll definitely want to check out the top dog-friendly beaches and parks. And what sounds better than playing in the sand, sunshine, and water with your frisky little pup? Nervous about losing your dog? Check out the Fi Smart Dog Collar to keep track of your precious pup.
1. Bark Beach at North Beach Oceanside Park
North Beach Oceanside Park is over 1 acre in size, and offers picnic pavilions, tables, BBQ grills, restrooms, and a playground. They have two separate off-leash, fenced-in dog runs for small and large dogs. And they provide waste stations, on-leash walking paths, and access right to the beach. The dog-friendly part of North Beach is between 80th Street and 81st Street.
2. Haulover Beach Park
Haulover Beach Park allows dogs to be off-leash on the beach from 8am-3pm between lifeguard towers #2 and #3. And the Haulover park itself has two separate fenced-in areas—one for small dogs, and one for large dogs. You can visit the beach with your pup for free, but the park does charge $2 per vehicle. And the park provides picnic tables, benches, water stations, waste stations, and some shade trees to enjoy.

3. Hobie Island Beach Park
Hobie Island Beach Park is extremely dog friendly, and free to visit! It’s a popular area because of the water sports like kayaking, windsurfing, and paddleboarding. The water is pretty shallow, which makes it a nice beach for your pup to run and swim in the water.
4. Lummus Park & Beach Walk
Lummus Park is a ten-block stretch of South Beach that is dog-friendly, but dogs must be on a leash. There is both grass and sand, and even adult fitness equipment. If you and your pup like walks, you can take a stroll on the paved Beach Walk that runs parallel to the beach.
5. South Pointe Park
South Pointe Park is a gorgeous park with walking paths and a beautiful ocean view. This beach park requires dogs to be on-leash, but there is a bark park on the western side of this park. They offer specific off-leash hours for your furbabies to run and play from sunrise-10am, and from 4:30pm-8pm. But keep in mind that there are no fenced-in areas.

Many will have special treats or a special menu for your furry best friend. They are all deliciously creative, so you’ll have to try each one. But here are a few of our top favorites.
1. ALL DAY
This quaint cafe is a dog-friendly wine bar that serves gourmet coffee and brunch to die for. While you enjoy their food and drinks, your four-legged friend can enjoy one of their homemade, meaty dog treats.
2. Boia De
This dog-friendly restaurant has plenty of outdoor seating for you and your pup. Their menu for humans offers things like ribeye and king crab. And dogs can enjoy their own menu from a local company called Pup & Pantry. These treats are handcrafted and all-natural.
3. KUSH
KUSH is an artsy, dog-friendly Miami restaurant with four locations. And three of these locations offer a special doggy menu. KUSH serves beer, wine, and gourmet pub food from scratch for the humans. And they serve meals like chicken, rice, carrots, and peas for the canines.
4. Cielito Artisan Pops
This gourmet ice cream shop is very dog-friendly. You can create your own ice cream pop from endless flavors and toppings, and enjoy yours with your pup. Cielito makes doggie pops from pet-safe ingredients for your special furbaby.

If you’re planning a vacation to Miami with your furry best friend, you’ll want to know which hotels are pet-friendly, and which ones provide the most amenities for your precious pup or kitten. Here’s a few of the most pet-friendly hotels in Miami, FL.
1. Kimpton Epic Hotel
Kimpton is one of my favorite dog-friendly hotel chains. Their prices aren’t too crazy, they have no limits on the number or size of pets you bring. And they go the extra mile with pet-friendly treatment—pet beds, food and water bowls, mats, and guides to local pet care and pet-friendly restaurants.
2. La Quinta Inn & Suites Miami Airport East
If you’re looking for somewhere affordable to stay with your small pets, La Quinta Inn & Suites is a great choice. They don’t charge any pet fees, and they accept both cats and dogs. But dogs must be 15 lbs. or smaller. If your pet is quiet and well-behaved, they may be left in the room unattended. And the front desk provides treats and waste bags.
3. W South Beach
W South Beach is a Marriott-owned hotel, and is very pet-friendly. They have their own P.A.W. (Pets Are Welcome) Program that will provide your furbaby with complimentary treats, toys, and a pet tag.
