Today we got the honor of interviewing Fei (Hachi's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.

Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

Xu: I love shiba inu ever since I watch the movie Hachiko. I know its Akita in the movie, but they used a shiba puppy to film. I love how goofy and how much personality they are. I want to share our adventure and discover dog friendly places.

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Xu: Unlike other shibas, he doesn't have shiba scream, he is super goofy and full of personality. He is super handsome definitely a distinguished gentleman.

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

Xu: You really have to catch the moment. We like to go on hikes and travel with him. Bring him everywhere with us whenever we can. Show people places where are dog-friendly.

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Xu: Not yet. People have different perspectives on how to train their dog. We went through a professional program, so we have the knowledge on how to train our dog.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Xu: Engage with your community. Find your unique path. Be consistent.

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

Xu: A lot, he keeps me healthy, brightens my day, and teaches me how to be a good parent.

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Xu: Definitely when he was an untrained puppy. We were on a hiking trip, we opened the car door, planning to put the leash on him, he didn't train to wait, he sneaked out and ran around the parking area. Thank god it wasn't too busy that day, we managed to catch him.

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

Xu: Always got to create and document funny cute moments of my pup.

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

Xu: We love to continue to share our adventure, discover places that are dog-friendly wherever we go.
