Welcome to the ultimate destination for dog enthusiasts and social media mavens alike. At Dogfluencers, we're passionate about showcasing the best and brightest in the world of four-legged fame.

Whether you're looking for adorable photos, heartwarming stories, or expert tips on how to turn your own pup into a social media star, we've got you covered.

Today we got the honor of interviewing Kathy (Gibby's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.

Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

Kathy: Gibby is very expressive and was always making us laugh. Sharing his funny adventures and outlook on life became a fun hobby. Making people laugh and smile has been the reward.

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Kathy: It’s his inquisitive and funny approach to life. Gibby makes us see the lighter side of things —as well as from a dog's point of view.

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

Kathy: Yes, I try to imagine what Gibby would be thinking. I write it out and then shorten it by about half. He doesn’t like things too wordy.

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Kathy: Very rarely have I experienced negativity. One reel where I was tossing cooked spaghetti noodles at Gibby got me some negativity. A few people commented that I was being mean —which I did not understand —we were having fun and he thought it was hilarious and yummy.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Kathy: To have fun with it! If you don’t enjoy it, then don’t do it, as it is a time commitment. I love my dog and I love photography and editing. For me, it is truly fun —spending time with my dog and having laughs is the best.

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

Kathy: It’s opened my eyes to a whole new world of dog lovers —and because of Gibby I’ve even made new friends. The dog network is truly filled with awesome people.

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Kathy: I was shooting some pre-New Year's Eve pics on our front porch. Gibby spotted a friend walking by and stayed put but gave me a hilarious double derp while keeping an eye on his buddy. It was perfection and had us cracking up. He is such a good poser!

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

Kathy: The incredibly kind and wonderful people I’ve met through social media.

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

Kathy: Gibby's favorite place is the beach. He truly believes sand should be in every crevice of his furry body. The pictures that come from these beach trips are my favorites. In 2024, we will be visiting the beach even more!
