Here is their story:
Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Saldsieder: I started Instagram to show other people that dogs don't just have "perfect phases". That everything often seems perfect on Instagram, but in reality there are other sides to everyone. I used the reels to exchange ideas with the community and one reel really went through the roof. With over 588 thousand views at the moment, people have been telling each other funny, exhausting, but also annoying stories about the dogs. And that's exactly why I'm doing the account. These many stories help new dog parents through the difficult initial period and show them that this is also part of it and completely normal. I want to become the account that I would have wished for in the beginning. An account where you don't just see a perfectly trained dog and you are totally unsure whether you have done something wrong or failed in training. I would like to give advice and set up an account where people can exchange ideas with each other.
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Saldsieder: First of all I have to say that every dog is unique in its own way. Charly, however, stands out because of his bright blue eyes in combination with his brown Redtri coat, which is an indescribably beautiful combination. Added to this is his wonderfully calm nature. He barks incredibly rarely, calms down quickly and loves to present himself in front of the camera. These are great prerequisites for providing high-quality content on Instagram. Of course, there are also other phases in which Charly does crazy things and can put a smile on viewers' faces. After all, this is part of everyday dog life.
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Saldsieder: A plan? We don't have one. We enjoy life and do it without pressure or scheduling. We post spontaneously about what's happening to us, what's on our minds in everyday life and what problems we're currently facing. How are you supposed to know what's on your mind at the weekend? I'm also in close contact with the community and answer their questions. I don't want to plan all this in advance, but simply share my everyday life as the mood takes me.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Saldsieder: No, not yet. The dog community is super friendly. You support each other and especially when you have questions you are not judged but get a helpful answer. I myself have often received helpful tips and often see people exchanging ideas in the comments.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Saldsieder: Do not make a plan. Just get started! What's stopping you? You get a dog, post pictures, walks, new toys. Treat your Instagram as if it were your photo diary where you record your dog's growth. The community is soooo huge. You'll strike a chord with your audience super quickly and when it's up and running it's super fun.
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Saldsieder: Oh god, where should I start? Dogs simply make life better. He has made sure that I go out every day and that I am greeted by someone after work. In the evenings he is my calming influence and in everyday life he shows me what it means to live in the moment and just stay calm. He has taught me to go through life with less stress and to approach things in a more relaxed way. I wouldn't be where I am now without him.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Saldsieder: There is an incredible amount to tell! He's been with me since he was 12 weeks old and I took him camping when he was 17 weeks old. We got out of the tent together in the morning and slipped into our sleeping bags together in the evening on cold nights. This strengthened our bond incredibly, and during the day we spent time walking to the lake and doing our first swimming exercises. All off the lead and right from the start he was a loyal companion who chose to follow me.
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Saldsieder: Definitely the exchange! It's incredible to hear the experiences and stories of other dog parents, to get tips on nutrition or to see product recommendations that you wouldn't even think of on your own. You also get an incredible amount of positive feedback, which builds me up, especially in the more difficult phases.
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Saldsieder: We want to continue building our community in the future. Improve the content and travel more together. Soon we will start a blog about traveling with dogs.
