Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Cornick: My dad inspired me to become a dog influencer. He was a dog person; peace be upon him. A hardworking blue-collar man who adored pets, he got us numerous. My family and I have owned bulldogs, who were my favorite as a child, Pit bulls, Rottweilers, and an Akita. Later in life, I frequented Texas City, Texas. I was conducting inspections on another nice property in Galveston County that was under contract. On the day of the first inspection, the owner's son owned a male dogo argentino. I'd never seen a dog so passionately loyal, charming, affectionate, yet careful in hunting prey. For instance, this lovely puppy was observing a squirrel in the as if he was just as scholarly as I was at this time in my life. Therefore, I found this dog extremely interesting!
Moreover, this later prompted me to buy The Empress Sasha LUX from a reputed breeder in Florida named Yudell. He informed me that my dog's granddad was Pampero, a well-known champion in the AKC dog competitions. I discovered that there were more relatives in her documented genealogy that were highly versatile, winning these dog events internationally as well as IFC shows and hunting. I performed my research and discovered her Royal bloodline, as well as the fact that the Dogo Argentino was recently recognized by the AKC in 2020, the first year of the twentieth century! This indicates that the breed is still relatively new in the United States, but it is extraordinary, and I felt compelled to spread the message!
So I started by providing cute, hilarious, and transparent stuff. It was enjoyable, so I continued doing it as an escape. Then I realized that more people in America should learn about this breed, so I began reading books and researching The Empress Sasha LUX and her breed's history. Following that, I began teaching my followers all about this fantastic family pet that can also hunt hogs, pumas, and other large wild creatures if the owner so desires; otherwise, they are perfectly fine as family dogs. They adore their family, which I admired even more than their outstanding variety. Similarly, The Empress Sasha LUX TV was launched on our socials, where I demonstrate my dog's individuality!
So I started sharing cute, funny, and transparent content in the beginning. It was fun, so I kept doing it as a hobby. Then I realized that more people should get to know this breed in America so I started reading books, and uncovering The Empress Sasha LUX and the history behind her breed. After this, I began teaching my followers all about this phenomenal family pet that also can hunt hog, puma, and other large wild animals if an owner so chooses, if not, they are just fine as family dogs. They love their family and I liked that factor even more than their impressive versatility. Similarly, The Empress Sasha LUX TV was created on our socials where I show my dogs personality. Also included are 3-10 facts regarding her dog's breed. These are facts that we have read or discovered for ourselves. Furthermore, I noted that our engagement began to increase, and I realized that I was doing the greatest thing for the breed and The Empress. She is a fantastic dog, and I want everyone in America and beyond to know about her and fall in love with her and her brand as much as I do with the Dogo Argentino breed as a whole. This is what encouraged me to start sharing my dog's journey on Instagram as a brand!
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Cornick: The Empress Sasha LUX stands out from other dogs with her unmatched high energy and relentless play drive that keep her always ready for adventures. Her agility in jumping showcases her remarkable physical prowess and adds to her dynamic and spirited personality. Not only is her coat strikingly beautiful, but the way she eagerly learns new commands reflects her intelligence and desire to please me as her devoted owner.

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Cornick: Recently, social media platforms were flooded with negative comments regarding a photo of The Empress Sasha LUX, walking through an airport wearing a muzzle.
The negativity arose from the misconception that the muzzle was to control aggression, based solely on her size.
In response, we took to social media to clarify that the muzzle was a courtesy to ensure the comfort of non-dog lovers and not an indication of any aggressive behavior on her part.
Our explanation emphasized that Sasha is a gentle and well-behaved dog, and the muzzle was simply a precautionary measure to respect others' comfort levels.
Through our clarification, we aimed to promote understanding and shed light on the sensible reasons behind such actions, ultimately fostering a more positive dialogue and perception.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Cornick: Starting a dog influencer account requires passion as the foundation, not money, so ensure your love for dogs shines through every post. Find a unique marketing angle that sets you apart from the crowd and makes your content stand out in a sea of social media influencers. Quality over quantity - only share content that you truly enjoy creating and see value in, as authenticity will resonate with your audience. Think about the message you want your brand to convey to those who stumble upon it for the first time, and tailor your posts accordingly. Remember, success in this space is not just about followers and likes, but about the genuine connections you can make through your shared love for dogs.
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Cornick: The Empress Sasha LUX, is my cherished canine companion, she undeniably enriched my life in multifaceted ways. As an example; through her presence, she has lovingly nudged me towards the outdoors, fostering a healthier lifestyle filled with exercise and fresh air. Additionally, as my steadfast emotional support friend, she has been a beacon of comfort and understanding during both joyful and challenging moments. Not to mention, Empress Sasha LUX’s unwavering protection and boundless affection has not only instilled a sense of security but also deepened my capacity to love and care. Furthermore, she has brought a sense of anticipation and joy into my life, whether through heartwarming moments shared together or the delightful anticipation of her mischievous antics captured on social media. The Empress Sasha LUX undoubtedly holds a special place in my heart, coupled with the purest essence of companionship and love for my canine!
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Cornick: On a sunny afternoon, The Empress Sasha LUX and I were immersed in a game of fetch when disaster struck – her toy landed precariously in a tree! With a puzzled look on her face, Sasha LUX turned back to me as if seeking guidance, then dashed towards the tree with determination. To my surprise, she propped her paws against the trunk as if trying to summon her inner tree-climbing skills to the rescue! It was a moment of pure comedy mixed with puppy love, as Sasha LUX's attempt to solve the toy-in-tree crisis left us both laughing and marveling at her creativity. In the end, with a little help from me and a lot of tail-wagging teamwork, we retrieved the toy and ended the day with shared memories of a playful and unforgettable adventure.
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Cornick: It's wonderful to be a dog influencer because of my creativity is shining and my gratification feels great when people enjoy my work. Also, my passion for expanding the Dogo Argentino breed is admirable and important for preserving and promoting awareness about this unique breed. Most importantly, my dedication to showcasing the beauty and qualities of the Dogo Argentino will surely have a positive impact on the breed's future.
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Cornick: Yes, we are absolutely thrilled to announce that The Empress Sasha LUX and CH Domination Cain De Famoso from Triplemdogo are expecting a litter of beautiful, intelligent, and strong puppies due to arrive in April 2024. These puppies will be the first heirs of BDMKDogos, and we cannot wait to welcome them into the world!
