Welcome to the ultimate destination for dog enthusiasts and social media mavens alike. At Dogfluencers, we're passionate about showcasing the best and brightest in the world of four-legged fame.

Whether you're looking for adorable photos, heartwarming stories, or expert tips on how to turn your own pup into a social media star, we've got you covered.

Today we got the honor of interviewing Tonirose (Beau's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.

Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

Sarmiento: I actually started Beau’s Instagram before I got him! Knowing me, I knew that I would have a camera roll full of photos (as one does when they get a puppy) of him, so an Instagram account would be the perfect place for me to share photos with my friends and family. Before I knew it, we started gaining followers from all over the country, then soon all over the world!

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Sarmiento: Beau is a unique mix - chihuahua and pug! We actually haven’t met any chugs in our city, but are always on the look out. He has the sweetest, puppy face and has mastered his puppy dog eyes. Beau is a fashion icon! He is known for his fashionable looks and grace in front of the camera. He loves dressing up and taking photos and knows his best angles (… which is every angle!). Not to mention, he is extremely expressive and translates his emotions so well both on camera and in person! His patience and willingness to participate in my little photoshoots makes being his momager so easy!

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

Sarmiento: I am huge on the creativity aspect of content creation. With that being said, I definitely value quality of posts over quantity. From photoshoot ideas, to outfit concepts, to playing with visuals, I love to keep Beau’s Instagram fun and creative. I am a huge fan of DIY - whether that be making his outfits and accessories myself or even creating a photo booth in one of our spare bedrooms! I actually have an ever-evolving mood board/inspo board that I save all my ideas and inspiration to (both written and photos!). It’s a great way to refresh my creativity when I hit a creative wall, as well as a great way to see the evolution of our aesthetic, interests, and style!

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Sarmiento: We’re lucky enough to be surrounded by an extremely supportive and loving community that values our content so we have never had to deal with any negativity!

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Sarmiento: Comparison is so dangerous. Try to avoid comparing yourself to other dog influencers, especially when it comes to numbers. I know how easy it is to hyperfixate on numbers and growth, but enjoy the journey! At the end of the day, likes and followers don’t matter! The biggest thing to keep in mind is that throughout the process, both you and your dog should be enjoying what you’re doing and the content that you’re creating! Plus, you’ll attract an audience who shares similar interests and values as you which will help build your own little supportive community. Keep true to yourself and the content you love to create!

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

Sarmiento: Being a dog mom has changed my life for the better. I love having my own little adventure buddy, shopping buddy, and partner in crime! I’ve been living my life a lot more since getting Beau because everything is so much more fun when I have him by my side! I love creating core memories with him. Also, Beau is known around the city and he often gets recognized when we are frequenting markets and dog friendly events. It’s a reoccurring inside joke with my friends and I because everyone always knows Beau’s name and not mine!

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Sarmiento: Beau has such a big personality and is such a goofy lil guy that everything we do has memorable moments! I think that my favorite reoccurring thing that he does is when he is done with taking photos, he’ll continue to pose but growl and sigh in between photos to let me know that he is DONE! I definitely take the hint and give hint extra treats for his hard work!

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

Sarmiento: Definitely the connections, experiences, and opportunities that being a dog influencer/dog momager has brought us! We have been able to create lifelong connections with fellow dog influencers and dog momagers all around the world. Overall, the best part is definitely being able to document Beau and I’s adventures and share our experiences. I always love looking back at photos and posts and they bring back so many memories and make me excited to create new ones! Being a dog mom and dog momager is truly the best because I get to spend so much time with my best friend, Beau!

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

Sarmiento: We’re looking forward to more road trips and travelling! With summer coming up, I’m busy planning and building our itinerary. I’ll keep everything that we currently have in the works as a mystery… but there’s lots of good things coming!
