Today we got the honor of interviewing Aliza (Bindhi's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.
Here is their story:
Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Eduljee: My dog, Bindhi, is the face of an organic dog treat company, BINDHI’S, that I, Aliza Eduljee, founded in 2022! We specialize in making the best, healthiest organic, affordable treats! Our treats are curated for health-conscious pet-parents to help them feel more confident in what they’re giving their pup! We also support the National Canine Cancer Foundation through our biscuits! Bindhi, as the face of the company, is in numerous photos on our website and throughout. She, and the company, have a great reputation and are loved by the community, so we believe we would be beneficial to Fi’s marketing (especially because, as business owners, we know how it works)!
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Eduljee: Bindhi is a Shorkie-poo (shih-tzu, yorkie, toy poodle mix)! She is the face of BINDHI’S, an organic dog treat company based in Delaware. We are a women-owned, minority-owned small business!
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Eduljee: Just like our treats, our ideas are also organic. When we’re going about our day, ideas pop into our heads that we jot down and later evolve into a content idea. From that idea, we look at trends and engagement throughout social media to get a better feel for how to make the content a success.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Eduljee: So far, luckily, I have not faced any negativity on social media. When I do face negativity, as we know it is inevitable, I plan to handle it in a respectful, meaningful way by either responding to the situation in a positive, informative, constructive, and respectful way or by removing the situation entirely.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Eduljee: Stay consistent. It takes time and energy and lots of effort, but it is worth it to get the word out!
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Eduljee: She is the inspiration for the company, BINDHI’S, that I founded!
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Eduljee: During our Valentine’s Day photos, she couldn’t stop trying to bite the little paper hearts! I had to keep her attention with a BINDHI’S treat! It was too funny!
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Eduljee: I love sharing things about my dog!
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Eduljee: Lots of plans and growth!
