Today we got the honor of interviewing Bjorn (Bodhi's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.

Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

Bredeson: As I live an active and adventure-filled life, before I even got Bodhi, I wanted to showcase that through a different lens. Bodhi came into my life in a challenging time and he truly helped heal me. As I rebuilt, he was trained and learned how to be the rad dog that I wanted him to be. As we travel the country, it is fun to capture the adventures and activities through his perspective.

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Bredeson: Bodhi is an extreme sports athlete that is also quite lazy. He only gets stoked to run through dirt jumps, mountain bike trails, run ahead of the dirt bike, go skiing or ice skating. Other than that, he could live life upside down on his back.

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

Bredeson: When I am going out to do something with Bodhi, I typically will film using an Insta360 or a GoPro because he is amazing when we bike or ski. Outside of that, I just capture little moments and figure out how to put them together in the future. If he makes me laugh, I hope he makes others laugh.

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Bredeson: Social media is filled with keyboard warriors, but it also allows you to connect with so many incredible people very easily. I have received many negative comments on certain viral posts about how I am neglecting my dog, not concerned for his safety, but I know it is a true reflection of how these individuals live their lives.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Bredeson: Capture everything you can - while quality can matter, some of the most viral videos I had, I never even thought to film until a year into him doing the behavior. Random clips will catch in the algorithm. But at the end of the day, showcase your dog how you like, how you want to portray. This should be fun and enjoyable to showcase life through their eyes.

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

Bredeson: Bodhi came into my life during a challenging time, I was recovering from getting hit by a car and rebuilding my leg and as a result, struggling mentally. While I grounded in other resources to help, I also welcomed Bodhi to help me focus on something positive. He has been my best friend ever since, literally goes everywhere with me and I cannot imagine my life any other way. Honestly, he taught me what love is.

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Bredeson: Often times, Bodhi thinks that my girlfriend is actually his. So anytime I give her affection, he gets jealous and breaks it up or joins. It is quite comical!

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

Bredeson: I have met so many awesome people that love their dogs as much as me. It is fun to showcase our daily lives through social media as we are pretty lucky in the life we get to live. I also love representing brands that I genuinely enjoy.

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

Bredeson: I have goal set around partnerships, but I just want to keep exploring and showcasing Bodhi's rad adventures, his skills when we go biking and meet more dog lovers!
