Today we got the honor of interviewing Buddy (Buddy's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.

Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

Smartz: People in the city downtown where we live always said he was a natural poser whenever we would take him down there for a fun day of exploring.

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Smartz: Buddy and his cute tongue and funny stories.

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

Smartz: It’s all about his different adventures and funny things that happen along the way!

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Smartz: I totally ignore it! No point in paying attention to the negative especially with so many positive nice comments, we focus on these instead.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Smartz: Be consistent and find what works best for you!

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

Smartz: He has taught me to be a better person and really helps me when I am stressed with work, etc. dogs really are the best.

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Smartz: We went to shoot one of our videos up on the mountain in the snow and Buddy has always been a “lazier” dog and we have never really seen him get truly excited. But the day we took him to play in the snow that totally changed!

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

Smartz: Being able to make people's days better and the very kind comments we receive from his fans.

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

Smartz: We are planning quite a few things (keeping them secret for now) but one thing I can say is that we have shifted to focusing a lot more on YouTube and doing longer form videos of his adventures and funny stories while keeping his TikTok and Instagram still with the daily posts!
