Today we got the honor of interviewing Jillienne (Caesar's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.
Here is their story:
Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Costa: I was inspired by seeing how much fun Caesar has on our excursions! He is an excellent traveler, and has been from California to New York. He loves to see the world, and I thought it would be a beautiful thing to share his experiences.
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Costa: Caesar is not your typical young full bred dog, he is a rescue dog, mixed breed, and he is older. He has the most playful and loving personality, and it shows through his pictures!
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Costa: I swear he is a little doggy model and poses for me! He comes up with the content half the time because he is naturally so adorable.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Costa: Absolutely, but I really try to ignore it and not let it bother me. If someone I do not know came up to me in person and said something negative, I would probably think it was strange and shake it off- that is what I do on social media too. I try to respond with love, or not respond at all.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Costa: Be as consistent as you can, and as genuine as you can! Dogs are unapologetically themselves, and that is part of the reason they are so special- let that show through the content!
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Costa: Caesar has changed my entire life. He is my best friend, and has influenced me in many ways, including being more responsible and looking at life on the bright side, just as he does.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Costa: I have so many memories with Caesar, but one of my favorites is when we were filming a campaign at the container store for a pet toy company, and we walk into the store full of boxes and containers and Tupperware and he somehow immediately knew where the dog toy section was and started jumping up and down and yelping for the toys. It was so cute!! I dont know how he knew where the toys were but he figured it out within seconds of entering the store. All of the associates thought he was so funny and gave him lots of pets!
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Costa: That I get to share my best friend and his beautiful life with the world!
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Costa: We do have some fun projects in the works so stay tuned for that! As far as what's next, we are going to keep continuing to share his lovely life on the internet. Some fun travel plans are in store for 2024!
