Today we got the honor of interviewing Amber (Tango's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.

Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

Breland: I started our instagram page because I felt like Tango was a pretty unique looking little dog. I wanted to share her with others!

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Breland: I think what sets us apart is our friendships. Other than looking unique we don’t do a whole lot different than others but I love engaging with our friends, supporting others gets a lot of support in return!

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

Breland: I usually just post photos with captions of whatever’s on my mind, it could be anything! I base photos on “outfits”. I love matching bandanas, tags, collars. I’ve recently started posting more reels and that’s been fun. I like seeing what others are doing, what’s trending and just play off of that.

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Breland: Thank goodness we haven’t had that issue yet. We truly have an awesome community where everyone is nice. I know it may not always be that way but I’m thankful for now it’s all positive vibes.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Breland: Definitely do it! The dog community is fun. Who doesn’t love to look at dogs?! Engage with others, build friendships, talk to others. There’s so much to learn!

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

Breland: Tango has had an amazing impact on me. I’ve always felt like I never had my own “thing”. I’m not an artist, not super creative, and I felt like I didn’t have a place. Tango has given me that. She’s with me every day. We train daily and have created a truly unbreakable bond. She gives me something to look forward to always!

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Breland: I tried to snap a picture of her drinking out of a pond once and she fell in! Good thing she loves water.

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

Breland: The fact that people besides me look forward to seeing my dog! Other people know my dog and that’s crazy to me.

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

Breland: I’ve been working on changing up my photography and editing style. Definitely planning to do more reels. We want to go on more adventures this year. I’m excited to continue working with Fi! It’s been an awesome experience!
