Today we got the honor of interviewing Jadene (Nova's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.

Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

Prospere: I love following and watching dog content... it’s so wholesome and funny! I knew I had to share Nova’s antics when I got him.

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Prospere: He’s quite a unique breed... Only 3 people I’ve spoken to have heard of a Coton and I get stopped and spoken to all the time. He really catches people’s eye and gets called a fluffy cloud on legs!

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

Prospere: I have recently been trying to do one photo and one reel per day. It’s so helpful following other dog Instagrams... I get so many ideas and inspiration from others. I’m also quite a creative person - I’m an actor, so I find coming up with ideas quite easy. A lot of the original ideas I have come up with, I haven’t actually executed yet... I don’t know why, maybe just a bit of anxiety.

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Prospere: I had a massive blip recently, where I just felt like I was working really hard and getting nowhere and seeing other Instagrams do much better. I didn’t like how I was feeling about it... So I took a moment to remember the puppy, who makes this possible and why he is so special to me. Then I made a reel and was reminded that it’s more important to enjoy making the content I post. Since then our reach has grown quite a lot... Funny how a shift in mindset can change things.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Prospere: Don’t let social media cloud the time spent with your dog - they are the most important. Also try to enjoy it and don’t compare to others. You are unique for a reason!

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

Prospere: He has helped my depression massively. I haven’t felt so happy since I was 15 - he is keeping me alive and I am truly so grateful for him.

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Prospere: When I discovered he knew how to dance - when he sees me dancing, he jumps up and tries to join in. It’s adorable!

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

Prospere: Meeting so many other friends online... And spreading happiness by sharing my pup!

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

Prospere: We have just been offered a brand rep deal and are waiting to hear back from a few more. Nothing special planned yet, but who knows what the future holds...
