Here is their story:
Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Garcia: Our journey to becoming a dog influencer began with our first two dogs (Dillinger and Jawz), who had their own social media accounts. Sharing their adventures allowed us to connect with like-minded individuals and grow a dedicated following.
The success and positive experiences with our initial accounts inspired us to continue this journey with Crow, our Doberman. Through our previous dogs, we had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with prestigious brands and projects, including Converse, Amazon, Vogue Magazine, and RifRuf Sneakers. One of our most memorable moments was being featured in a music video alongside Lil Kim and Remy Ma.
With Crow, we've continued to embrace the exciting world of social media. Crow recently had the opportunity to be part of a music video featuring artist JRelly, which was an amazing experience. Social media has truly transformed our passion for dogs into an incredible journey of creativity, connection, and community building.
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Garcia: Crow brings a distinctive urban vibe of New York City to his social media presence, which resonates strongly with our followers. His page is filled with stylish dog fashion items, from sneakers and goggles to collars, bandanas, sweaters, and jackets—he's got it all. Crow's unique style and charisma make him stand out in the crowded world of pet influencers.
But it's not just about the fashion. Crow is always on an adventure, whether he's hiking through scenic trails, enjoying a day at the beach, or exploring the city's bars and restaurants. He's a social dog, attending both human and canine social events, festivals, and parades. This combination of fashion-forward style and adventurous spirit keeps our audience engaged and eager to see where Crow's next escapade will take him. His ability to effortlessly blend urban chic with a love for exploration makes him truly unique and interesting to our followers.
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Garcia: Our creative process is deeply rooted in our New York City upbringing, which provides a constant source of inspiration for Crow's content. We love showcasing new locations and hidden gems in the city that our followers may not be aware of. Whether it’s a trendy new dog-friendly café, a picturesque hiking trail, or a vibrant local festival, we aim to introduce our audience to exciting places they can explore with their own pets.
Additionally, we prioritize recommending products that Crow personally enjoys and benefits from. This includes everything from fashionable dog apparel to treats, supplements, food, practical gear and accessories. We care about giving honest reviews that matter and sharing our experiences to help others make informed decisions for their pets.
Ultimately, our content is driven by a desire to share our journey and adventures with Crow, offering valuable insights and recommendations to our followers. We aim to create posts that are not only entertaining but also genuinely useful, fostering a sense of community and trust among our audience.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Garcia: One challenge of social media is encountering various opinions, including negativity. We've learned to handle this by fostering positive discussions and being open to learning from others. Responding with empathy and understanding helps turn negative interactions into constructive dialogues, allowing us to navigate these challenges effectively.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Garcia: Our advice is to enjoy the moments and have fun. Think of social media as an album of cherished memories. Focus on showcasing what you and your dog love doing together, and let your passion shine through. The most important part is to enjoy the journey and share your joy with others. And as a practical tip—make sure you have a lot of phone storage space!
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Garcia: Crow has influenced our life by pushing us to step out of our comfort zone and explore the world every chance we get. He has helped us build strong relationships with other dog owners and fostered a sense of community. As a Doberman, Crow requires an active lifestyle, which keeps us moving and engaged. With his Fi collar, we even have friendly step competitions in our household—and Crow usually wins!
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Garcia: One of the most memorable moments with Crow was when he became a real-life superhero by saving another dog's life named Tammi Terrell. Crow was recently honored at the 16th Annual Living Legends Luncheon at AMC (Animal Medical Center) for his heroic act.
Tammi had a rare blood condition and urgently needed Dal-Negative blood, a type more commonly found in Dobermans and Dalmatians. Through social media, we saw a post by Doctor Palma at AMC, asking for help from the public.
Without hesitation, we sprang into action and got to AMC the following morning, where Crow was found to be a perfect match. Thanks to Crow's donation, Tammi's life was saved, and Crow became a real-life superhero.
This heartwarming experience highlighted the incredible impact dogs can have on the lives of others, and it demonstrated the strength of social media in mobilizing support and making life-saving connections. And of course, Crow also wore a tuxedo to the luncheon, adding a touch of class to the occasion.
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Garcia: Our favorite thing about being a dog influencer is getting to connect with people from all over the world. We have followers from the East Coast to the West Coast, and even from places like Puerto Rico. It's incredible to see the diverse range of people who share a love for dogs and enjoy following Crow's adventures.
Through social media, we not only get to showcase Crow's journey but also include the community in his adventures. Seeing other dogs and their unique experiences makes the world feel smaller and brings the dog community together. It's incredibly rewarding to be part of such a supportive and inclusive community.
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Garcia: The sky is the limit for us! We're always open to exploring new opportunities and finding creative ways to share our adventures with our followers. Whether it's trying out new dog-friendly activities, collaborating with exciting brands, or sharing tips and advice for fellow dog lovers, we're constantly evolving and adapting to what works best for our lifestyle.
In addition to our regular content, we're also looking into ways to expand our reach and engage with our audience on a deeper level. This might include hosting live Q&A sessions, organizing meet-ups with fellow dog enthusiasts, or even exploring new platforms to connect with our community in different ways.
Ultimately, our goal is to continue spreading joy, inspiration, and valuable insights through Crow's adventures, while fostering a supportive and inclusive community of dog lovers from all walks of life.
