Today we got the honor of interviewing Dina (Dallas's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.

Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

Gibbons:Dallas is half APBT and half American Staffy so I mainly made his page to share that not all bully breeds are vicious and dangerous. We love taking Dallas with us whenever we go and he loves going on adventures and hikes. So those two things were why I started a page for him. To be an advocate for bully breeds by showing Dallas’ loveable side and show he loves adventures!

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Gibbons:By far his personality! He truly believes he’s human and I love capturing all of it and sharing with the world and also the fact how handsome he is! I get messages every day from people all over saying how the love his personality and how beautiful he is!

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

Gibbons: I record him on a daily and his personality shines through the reels and posts! His famous for his head tilt. He’s been doing it since a puppy and still does. All I have to say is head tilt and he will pose in the most adorable way for photos and videos.

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Gibbons: Yes! Since he’s a bully breed, I get a lot of negativity. I don’t respond. I block, report and delete. I know Dallas isn’t what they say he is so they aren’t worth our time.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Gibbons: Record, record and record! Keep capturing those moments and memories and post away! All it takes is one reel or post to go viral!

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

Gibbons: Without a doubt! Dallas is also in training to become my service dog. He can truly bring me out of a dark place and knows when I’m upset and he knows what he has to do to help me.

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Gibbons: I have a few! He is very open to letting me film him but there are times where he’s over it and he literally will huff at me like he’s annoyed and telling me that’s enough! 🤣 also on a hike he almost pulled my husband into a creek with his shoes on because he loves splashing in the water so much! I thought it was funny, my husband not so much! 😂

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

GibbonsSharing him with the world and being an advocate for bully breeds.

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

Gibbons: Hitting 25K followers! We’re almost there so we will continue to post away!
