Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Frölander: I became a dog trainer almost 3 years ago, malibu has taught me everything I know! She’s helped me overcome some of my biggest fears and challenges. She was with me when I graduated highschool and started college, she helped me start my business and is my demo dog!! She is exactly the dog I need. She’s gotten me into many different dog sports where I've met lifelong friends! Together as a team we’ve earned lots of titles and ribbons! She’s my other half, my heart dog and I can’t wait to see what else we accomplish together!!
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Frölander: She’s highly trained and a malinois! They’re not a super common breed so people always find her interesting and love her obedience and tricks!
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Frölander: It depends on what we’re doing! If we’re out somewhere hiking we take hiking photos! I love to do holiday themed pictures too! Sometimes i also just take pictures randomly when she’s making a cute face! we also make different training tiktoks based of what I think could help others with their own dogs!
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Frölander: Not yet no!
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Frölander: Don’t be afraid to post! Be open to criticism but you dont have to take every peice of criticism to heart. Be yourself and go for it!
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Frölander: She’s opened up a whole new world for me! Getting into dog sports has been such an amazing thing, getting to watch her genetics be fulfilled is such a great feeling. She makes me proud everyday! She’s helped me in so many ways and helped me overcome so much!
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Frölander: She always makes me laugh, she has a trick sit pretty and occasionally she’ll lose her balance and roll over 🤣 She always tries so hard to get tricks right and it’s the cutest thing to see her brain trying to figure it out!
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Frölander: Being able to share my passion!
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Frölander: Not sure what’s next! I’m trying to grow my platforms but other than that just sharing what I love!
