Today we got the honor of interviewing Enzo (Enzo's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.

Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

Corwin: During the pandemic, I was working in the hospital and mainly on the floors and intensive care units taking care of patients with COVID. After getting Enzo, my golden retriever, I started sharing videos with my coworkers at the hospital. They kept asking for me to text them more videos as they said it brightened their day. Then I had a patient who had been in the hospital for over 3 weeks but was unable to have any visitors given the hospital visiting policy restrictions. This person shared they felt lonely and sad and needed a pick me up. I showed this patient a video that made me laugh of my dog, and she immediately laughed and was in a better mood. She told me that I needed to share these videos with others as she thought it would also bring them joy. She asked if my dog had an Instagram account that she could follow for more videos. To which I then replied "not yet!"

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Corwin: It is just a normal dog living a normal life. And enjoying those little moments.

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

Corwin: I just film Enzo being Enzo. He makes me so happy by being himself.

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Corwin: No, luckily I haven't.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Corwin: Have fun with it!

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

Corwin: He has made me slow down and stop to appreciate being in the moment. When we are on a walk, he is happy to be outside on that walk. He is in the moment, appreciating the weather (no matter what it is), the smells, and everyone he meets. I have tried to emulate this more in my own life and mindset.

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Corwin: There was a time Enzo chased a deer while I was hiking. There was a time Enzo chased a turkey while I was hiking. And then there was the time coyotes chased us...

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

Corwin: The fact that my entire feed is nothing but updates on other dogs! My feed is nothing but happiness.

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

Corwin: No specific plans yet. Seeing where the year and our adventures take us!
