Today we got the honor of interviewing Rebecca (Etti & Ember's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.

Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

Fox: Initially, I created an account for Etti to help store the photos I take of all our adventures. Once I noticed that, in fact, dog instagrams were popular, I then decided to support businesses, as well as my dog adventure photos, to help promote their products and share my honest opinions.

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Fox: I think having two dogs is a bonus as our followers like to see a mixture of Etti photos, Ember photos, & them both together. I think they like my clear images and the accessories I put on them both. I also think our many spring and summer adventures are also interesting for others.

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

Fox: I try to keep them current with the season and the occasions that are coming up. I like to promote my newest products, so I will always have photos ready of my recent purchases to share immediately. Sometimes they’re not planned & it’s just a great photo from one of our many adventures.

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Fox: I have never faced and challenges or negativity on social media, but I have witnessed other people having their own issues.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Fox: I would recommend that they use hashtags that are relevant to their post, use clear & clutter-free images, to find other dog accounts that they wish to follow, and to use reels as much as possible as I’m aware this is great for followers, especially newbies.

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

Fox: I have made lots of new friends through their dogs Instagram account, and have met with a few for walks, adventures, and occasions. I am now also aware of products, that I originally didn’t know about or wasn’t aware of their purpose, and I am now aware of different events that are dog-related in my local area.

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Fox: I was trying to get a photo of Etti on one of our daily walks to the local park, wearing his new white harness. I had a ball in hand to get his attention however, I completely forgot about the pond close by - he didn’t - and ran straight into it having the time of his life whilst ruining his harnesses & turning it black!!

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

Fox: I love taking photos of the dogs & being able to help promote businesses, & watching them thrive.

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

Fox: I have nothing planned currently, other than getting ready for some amazing springtime adventures, and taking lots of new photos!
