Here is their story:
Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Duenez: We love our dog and love taking pictures of everyday moments with him, which is why we created the account in the first place. I never thought our Instagram account would get so big, so that was a total surprise to me when it started growing quickly. Looking back at the last few years, I am really glad we have all these moments collected in one place and can look back at them whenever. Frost is a very sassy dog with a lot of attitude, and we love sharing that with our followers.
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Duenez: Frost has a lot of attitude and we try to capture that in the pictures and videos we post on Instagram. We always try to think of fun ways to edit our content and also of new and fun places to go to.
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Duenez: We take pictures of Frost every day because we want to capture everything he does. Sometimes we get a great caption idea when we look back at the pictures we've taken, and that's how some ideas start. Other times we sit down and think about special holidays, dates, etc that will happen in the upcoming month, and think about what content we can create for that and what costumes and toys we should use.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Duenez: Having a bigger social media account can definitely come with some challenges. Especially when some of our content has gone viral, people always seem to wanna put their input into how we should do things with our dog, how what we're doing isn't good enough, etc. Sometimes it's just hard to not let the negative comments get to you. But that's part of social media, unfortunately. At the end of the day, we always make sure that Frost is okay.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Duenez: Do it! It is so much fun having all special moments collected in one place, and being able to share that with other people who loves dogs. We have connected with so many people from all around the world, via Frost's Instagram, and that has been so much fun.
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Duenez: Getting Frost has been the best decision of our life. We are spending so much more time outside than we did before, we're discovering new trails to walk, dog parks, dog bakeries, etc. People always come up to us wherever we are, because they want to say how cute Frost is and ask if they can pet him. We've also had many people rolling their car windows down on the road to say how cute he is. It really makes our day to see the love other people have for Frost. He truly is a sweetheart and we are so happy to have him!
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Duenez: Last summer we took Frost canoeing for the first time. He was very skeptical at first but eventually calmed down. Until he saw a turtle in the water and he wanted to jump in after it. The whole canoe started rocking and we thought we were all going to fall in. Luckily we didn't, but that is a memory we will always laugh at when we look at the pictures.
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Duenez: Sharing the love we have for Frost with funny content that makes people smile and laugh.
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Duenez: We have some fun content planned for the spring, so go follow our Instagram so you won't miss it!
