Today we got the honor of interviewing Krystie (Tupac's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.
Here is their story:
Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Souza: Tupac's brother (Frankie-RIP) started with wanting to make people smile. Once Tupac (Tupies) came in the picture we had two hilarious bulldogs. Because of their instagram page a movie producer found us! They asked for Tupac to audition for a movie! Thinking it would be fun we did it and he actually got the role!! So Tupac is a movie star! Tupies loves his time in Idaho getting lost on the property chasing deer (hilarious watching a bulldog chasing anything) and playing in the snow. He also spends time in Southern California where you can see him riding in his Furcedes around town.
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Souza: He's been in the movies and he's the cutest and sweetest bulldog. He also has 3 homes-Idaho, California & Las Vegas
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Souza: We try to bring people to smile and laugh.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Souza: No
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Souza: Definitely let them know it's a lot of work, important to interact with followers, send a positive message--you can really change someone's day.
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Souza: Hubby and I went on vacation to Australia and New Zealand. Bulldog friends we from instagram heard we were in town so they had a bulldog meetup just for us in New Zealand. We got to meet all these bullies (and their humans) we are friends with from all over the world. That was the best part of our trip! Also Filming his movie-he made people laugh (& probably frustrated) with his stubborness, but most importantly when it was his rest time nearly every person would come by his trailer to ask if they could pet & get a Tupac hug because it made their day better. It's amazing how much social media affects people and how a simple hug from a pup in real life can change a person's day.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Souza: He was sitting outside sunbathing. He got up (thought he had to pee), but then before I knew it he was sprinting after at least 25 turkeys that were sneaking up on him in our yard. They all flew away but he ran and ran and ran. And of course he found the mud hole. Ended up exhausted, muddy and miserable because he needed a bath.
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Souza: Making friends all over the world. And hopefully making people's day a bit better.
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Souza: Heading back to Idaho with all the snow. Hoping to get fun things with him.
