Today we got the honor of interviewing Emily (Helios & Nova's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.
Here is their story:
Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Comstock: I was inspired to share Helios and Nova's life after seeing how goofy their personalities are and how much they would brighten everyone’s day.
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Comstock: We are just starting out so we are still connecting and finding our future community!
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Comstock: I spend roughly 1-2 hours a day brainstorming different videos and perspective ideas I can film for our viewers. I also reference a lot of trending videos and find a way to make my own spin out of it.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Comstock: We haven’t yet, but we do know there will always be hate in the world. Our goal is to only spread kindness so any negativity will always be met with a kind and understanding reply back.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Comstock: To go for it! There is nothing wrong with only having a small account and with trying new experiences.
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Comstock: They have changed my life for the better.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Comstock: On our previous camping trip, Helios pulled both Nova and I off the dock and into the water by running with the leash!
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Comstock: Sharing the love for my dogs.
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Comstock: Filming new content to post every day!
