Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

Thompson: I originally started my account just a memorable place to share photos and videos of our pack! Once I found out how wonderful the dog community really was and found so many amazing brands and products we fell in love with sharing those through photos and content creation. I’m a professional photographer so I love to get creative with the products we share to show them in a fun and unique way.

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Thompson: I think huskies are beautiful and have fun and quirky personalities. Never a dull moment with a house full of huskies. I think what sets us apart is how we have rescued several members of our pack from pretty rough situations including Onyx whom after 4 weeks of having her we unexpectedly found out she was pregnant 4 days before she gave birth. We chose to keep her and raise her beautiful babies until we could find most of them new homes and then chose to keep two of the babies because we wanted to be able to give them an amazing life and home full of love. Huskies are high energy dogs and they thrive best in an energetic home with a pack.

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

Thompson: Since I’m a photographer and creative and have been for 15+ years it really just comes naturally to us.

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Thompson: Social media has its ups and downs for sure but I choose to remain positive on social media and not bring any of that negativity to the forefront! I like to think of House of Husky as a brand and don’t want to tarnish our name or the brands we work with so it’s very important to me to keep everything fun, light hearted, and positive.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Thompson: I tell people to start all the time! My biggest thing is have fun, be genuine, and authentic, and you will grow and soar to places you never thought you would.

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

Thompson: Our dogs are our world! We could never live without them! They bring so much joy to our daily lives from walks and adventures to evening cuddles, and the relationships and friendships having our dogs have brought us.

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Thompson: Oh my goodness there are so many to list them all. I think the most memorable moment was when I photographed our 1 week old puppies and placed them in a fall wagon with fall foliage around them and the wagon said little pumpkins. That was super memorable and special for me because since I am a wedding and portrait photographer and always loved dogs it was always a goal of mine to do a newborn puppy photoshoot. Little did I know those puppies would actually be my own and it was a dream!

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

Thompson: Hands down the community and the friendships and relationships we have built with other dog parents and companies along the way.

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

Thompson: I hoping to collaborate with a brand for some luxury dog bows for their Valentines Day Campaign! We love holidays in this house so it’s always fun for us to come up with fun ideas for holiday photoshoots.
