Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

Spatz: From the very beginning, Kylo's big personality captured our hearts. I have never had a dog like him before - he is so expressive, curious, smart, and funny. I found myself constantly taking pictures and videos of him and eventually decided to create an Instagram profile to share his growth and adventures with friends and family. After sharing his content privately, I realized the vast community of dog influencers and the inspiration and support they provide, so I decided to make it public. Since then I have been amazed about how welcoming the pet owners community is. Our aim is to connect with other dog owners and their doggies and of course keep having fun with Kylo and to share his journey as he grows up.

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Spatz: Kylo is a cross between a Labrador and a Pitbull. His dad was a silver labrador and his mom was a cross between a Labrador and a Pitbull, this makes him a rare dog breed. People usually call them bulladors. We sometimes have people stopping us in the streets asking what kind of dog he is because of his unusual colour but also because of his cute face. I think that there aren't many dogs like Kylo on social media, especially because there is a big stigma around Pitbulls. I just want to show how funny and loving he is, no matter what breed he is. There isn’t a boring day when Kylo is around. He is just this cool puppy, discovering the world in his way.

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

Spatz: It has always been about giving Kylo the best possible life. This includes allowing him to explore, learn, have lots of yummy food and have fun his way. I don’t usually plan Kylo’s content, I just focus on having nice experiences with him and the content comes almost naturally. We wanted to enjoy his puppy face as much as possible, but to be honest, he has had the most amazing reactions to many of the things we show him. So, he makes it really easy for us. Sometimes I get ideas for activities, treats and training from other dogs' profiles, but we try to keep it easy and real. We are still learning as we go and I hope we can get better and more genuine content that can show Kylo’s personality a bit more.

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Spatz: We feel so lucky that we haven't encountered any challenges or negativity yet. The pets community on social media has been incredibly kind and supportive so far. We know that not everyone will agree on specific approaches on how to raise your pet, but we believe that every dog is unique and deserves to be treated with love and respect. It helps to remember that what we see on social media is just a small part of our dogs’ lives. Kylo is an important member of our family, and we focus on spending quality time with him, whether it's playing, walking, or just cuddling on the couch, he doesn’t have a camera on him all day 😊

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Spatz: Be genuine and prioritize your dog at all times. Having a profile for your doggie should be for fun and the aim should be to give him lots of experiences and the best possible life. It's good to create content and share the fun stuff they do, but is nicer to see them enjoying themselves. The content will come naturally.

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

Spatz: He has made my life so much better in every single way. Just to name a few things I love: his unconditional love, the cuddles in the mornings, the 6 am natural alarm clock to get his breakfast, his funny reactions that make us laugh, seeing him discovering the world that allows me to see through his eyes and appreciate the simple things in life. He has also taught me a lot about patience and compassion. The first months with a puppy are not easy but are absolutely worth it. Kylo is my best friend and we do everything together.

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Spatz: Working from home has its unique set of challenges and perks. One of the perks, undoubtedly, is having Kylo, my dog, as my coworker. He’s the best—always there, keeping me company. There’s this charming little routine he’s developed: he sits on the chair beside me, seemingly engrossed in there and it’s quite endearing. But one day, I noticed something different. Kylo wasn’t watching the world go by—he was fast asleep, complete with a little drool, much like an elderly man dozing off in his favorite armchair. It was such a human moment that it reminded me of the joy and humor pets bring into our lives. We captured this on video because it was just too precious.

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

Spatz: Connecting with other dogs and their owners. Feeling supported and knowing that other people find Kylo as sweet as we do is heartwarming.

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

Spatz: We want to keep sharing his adventures and with warmer weather coming our way soon we hope to have more outdoorsy experiences. And we hope our content is engaging enough to keep Kylo’s Instagram community growing.
