Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Shing: Well, we don’t consider ourselves as a dog influencer as we’re just two sisters documenting all the memories we make together with our first family pet, Teddy, and we just stumbled across this wonderful community full of amazing dogs and their humans.
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Shing: There are quite a lot of cockapoos in this growing community! But hopefully Teddy is quite unique with his appearance and behaviorally with him being our ginger boy with his white markings. Also, just our caring, lovable and velcro boy.
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Shing: Well, we would just take photos whilst we are out and about whether we’re on an adventure in the woods or just in the city visiting the shops.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Shing: Yes at some point of our journey posting on our Instagram page daily. But we just ignore it and think about all the positive things about our community.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Shing: Consistency is key! Also just enjoy the process and create a fun, happy community within the dog community where you can support one another.
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Shing: Oh my, Teddy has influenced EVERYTHING in our lives! He’s our little fur brother who we just LOVE infinitely.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Shing: As a family, we love the outdoors and the adventures we have. The memorable moment that we have is we went on this woodland, canal walk on a warm day and Teddy was 1 years old where he was in his adolescent stage.
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Shing: Oooo there’s not just one thing! We love how creative and fun it can be, posting and taking photos of our brother. Also love supporting and working with small businesses in their lovely products.
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Shing: Just continue creating posts with Teddy and hopefully going on more adventures outdoors with the weather being warmer and nicer. We have plans of going on a road trip later in the year so we’ll be definitely creating content there.
