Here is their story:
Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Tavarez: I've always been passionate about dogs, especially my two Rottweilers, Chopper and Tigress. As a stay-at-home mom, they're not just pets but companions to my kids. Inspired by their unique personalities and the joy they bring to our family, I started sharing their adventures on social media. Transitioning them to a raw food diet sparked interest from fellow dog lovers, motivating me to advocate for healthy pet lifestyles and eventually becoming a dog influencer.
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Tavarez: Chopper and Tigress have a special bond that shines through in every post. Their playful antics, combined with their raw food diet journey and interactions with my young children, resonate with followers seeking authentic and relatable pet content. Their unique personalities, coupled with our family's dynamic, create a captivating narrative that keeps our audience engaged and inspired.
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Tavarez: My creative process often starts with observing Chopper and Tigress in their natural element, whether it's during playtime, training sessions, or exploring new environments. I draw inspiration from their daily interactions, quirks, and milestones. Additionally, I listen to my followers' feedback and preferences, incorporating their suggestions into my content planning. Collaborating with brands that align with our values also sparks new ideas for engaging posts and content themes.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Tavarez: Yes, navigating social media comes with its share of challenges, including occasional negativity. For instance, I once received criticism from a follower questioning the balance of my dogs' raw food diet. Instead of reacting defensively, I took it as an opportunity to delve deeper into the issue. After conducting thorough research and examining the information provided, it became apparent that the individual was attempting to sell supplements rather than genuinely offering constructive advice. I addressed the concern transparently, sharing my findings with my audience, and reaffirmed my commitment to providing a nutritious diet for Chopper and Tigress.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Tavarez: Starting a dog influencer account can be a rewarding journey filled with joy and connection, but it's essential to approach it with authenticity and dedication. My advice would be to focus on showcasing your dog's unique personality, experiences, and the bond you share. Engage with your audience genuinely, respond to comments, and build a community around shared interests and values. Consistency is key, so establish a posting schedule that works for you and your dog. Lastly, stay true to yourself and your dog's well-being, prioritizing their happiness and health above all else.
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Tavarez: Chopper and Tigress have had a profound impact on my life beyond social media. As a stay-at-home mom, they provide constant companionship and emotional support, enriching our family dynamic. Their presence encourages us to stay active through daily walks and outdoor adventures, fostering a healthier lifestyle. Moreover, caring for them has deepened my understanding of responsibility, empathy, and patience, qualities that extend beyond our home life. Ultimately, they've taught me valuable lessons about unconditional love and the importance of cherishing every moment.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Tavarez: During one of our photo shoots in the park, Tigress and Chopper suddenly got a case of the 'zoomies.' As I was setting up the camera, they took off like lightning bolts, chasing after little bugs, birds, and even bits of debris floating in the wind. It was both hilarious and heartwarming to watch their playful antics unfold amidst the serene backdrop of nature. Their boundless energy and enthusiasm never fail to bring a smile to my face, turning an ordinary outing into an unforgettable adventure.
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Tavarez: My favorite thing about being a dog influencer is the opportunity to connect with fellow dog lovers and share our mutual passion for our furry companions. Through our platform, I get to inspire and be inspired by others, exchanging stories, tips, and laughs along the way. It's incredibly rewarding to know that our adventures and experiences bring joy and positivity to our followers' lives, fostering a sense of community built on love for our four-legged friends.
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Tavarez: Looking ahead, we're excited to embark on new adventures and projects on social media. One idea we're exploring is creating raw food diet reaction videos, where we document our dogs' transition to a healthier lifestyle and share tips with our audience. Additionally, we're planning to put a fun twist on trending TikTok memes by creating dog versions that showcase Chopper and Tigress's playful personalities. These projects aim to not only entertain our followers but also educate and inspire them to prioritize their pets' well-being while having a blast along the way!
