Today we got the honor of interviewing Wendy (Mighty's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.
Here is their story:
Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Singer: Mighty is a Covid baby. NYC felt pretty empty so we started sharing our pictures to fill up some of our day. We had no idea it would lead to a whole new ig community.
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Singer: Ha! Mighty is 9 pounds but he has an opinion, & his attitude makes him look much bigger. I think the contrast makes people laugh.
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Singer: Sometimes, but recently we just post whatever makes us smile.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Singer: Sure. We like to assume any hater is having a bad day/week/month/year & move on.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Singer: Have fun!
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Singer: Mighty has modeled for some top brands in fashion & received all types of cool perks. Outside of that, he lives a normal life on the Upper Eastside.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Singer: Oh wow! So many. I think our favorite moments are when his ig friends come to NYC to visit. It’s so cool to meet our virtual community in real life.
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Singer: The community!
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Singer: Last year, I lost my dad so we took some time off. Now, we are slowly getting back into the swing of things & hopefully, starting a few new projects this spring.
