Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Mok: I'm so glad you're interested in Milo's journey to becoming a social media star! It all started quite simply—I just wanted to capture Milo's fun adventures for myself. A photo a day to record. But during the Covid pandemic, I realized that Milo's photos were bringing smiles to more faces than just my own. Many people reached out to say that his pictures were a bright spot during those tough times. This encouraged me to share more, and seeing how much joy Milo could spread, it felt right to keep going. It's been a wonderful way to connect with others and spread a bit of happiness.
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Mok: That’s a great question! Honestly, I think everyone believes their dog is the best and cutest—Milo included! What might set Milo apart on social media could be his photogenic charm. He has this adorable habit of popping his tongue out for the camera, which always seems to capture hearts. Each of his photos carries a bit of his playful and loving spirit, which perhaps brings a smile just when someone needs it. It’s those little moments that make Milo special to us and, hopefully, to our followers too!
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Mok: I often get asked about my creative process for Milo's posts, and honestly, it's all quite spontaneous! I don’t consider myself a skilled photographer by any means, but I think that just keeps everything really genuine and fun. Our content really just revolves around capturing whatever Milo is up to, whether it’s playing, exploring, or simply lounging. We go about our day, and when Milo does something cute or funny—which is quite often—I just grab my camera. It’s all about sharing those real, joyful moments that make everyday life with Milo so special.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Mok: I feel really fortunate because my experience with Milo’s social media has been overwhelmingly positive. The community around dog accounts is incredibly supportive and friendly. We’ve been lucky to interact with people who share the same love and enthusiasm for their furry friends as we do for Milo. It’s a wonderful space where negativity seems rare, and that’s something I truly appreciate. Sharing Milo’s adventures has brought us nothing but joy and lovely connections with fellow dog lovers across the globe! 🐾💕
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Mok: If you're thinking about starting a dog influencer account, my best advice is to focus on the joy and the journey rather than the fame. There are indeed many dog accounts out there, but each one has its own unique charm because each dog brings their own personality and story. Share from your dog’s perspective—capture those simple, joyful moments they experience every day with their humans. Let the authenticity of your dog’s life shine through your content. Enjoy the process, engage genuinely with your community, and let everything else fall into place naturally. It's all about having fun and spreading positivity! 🐾💕
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Mok: Milo has definitely kept my life interesting, both on and off social media! Outside of our online activities, we live a pretty normal life. However, maintaining his account has taught me the importance of living in the moment. While I do feel a bit of pressure to post daily, it encourages me to capture our daily adventures, no matter how big or small. This has made me more attentive and appreciative of the simple joys we experience together. When we travel or when daily routines change, it can be challenging to keep up with posting fresh content, but I’ve learned to embrace the spontaneity of capturing Milo just being Milo. It’s all about celebrating the present and enjoying our time together, which truly enriches my life.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Mok: One of the most memorable moments with Milo has to be during public events. It’s incredibly touching to see people patiently waiting for Milo to get his picture. 🙈 They try their best not to distract him, which shows just how considerate and kind-hearted they are. It’s funny and heartwarming to see Milo treated almost like a little celebrity, and it really highlights the positive and supportive nature of the people we meet. This kind of experience not only makes the day special for us but also reinforces the wonderful community we have around Milo’s social media.
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Mok: My favorite thing about being a dog influencer is the opportunity to spread joy and happiness through Milo's antics. It's incredibly fulfilling to remind people that happiness can be simple, often found in the everyday moments we share with our pets. Sharing Milo’s playful spirit and seeing the positive responses from our followers really highlights the beauty of these simple joys. It’s all about bringing a little more light and laughter into the world, one post at a time.
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Mok: Right now, we don’t have any specific projects lined up for Milo’s social media, but we’re always open to new opportunities and ideas. We like to keep things spontaneous and fun, allowing for surprises along the way. So, while there’s nothing planned at the moment, you never know what exciting adventures could be just around the corner for us. We're excited for whatever comes next and can't wait to share more joyful moments with our followers!
