Today we got the honor of interviewing Emily (Wrigley's Human).
Here is their story:
Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Herbst: Wrigley is a 4 month old golden retriever puppy and his mom started a TikTok account to share his daily life.
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Herbst: I think that Wrigley has a personality that no other dog has. He loves to play outside, especially parks and go down the slide. He loves sticks and any one who he comes in contact with.
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Herbst: I like to use the video and pictures I take and use them to the trending sounds.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Herbst: I have not had to deal with any negativity. I am trying to grow my platform which has been slow but consistently and engagement has been helping.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Herbst: Just post it! I was hesitant to create an account but I am so glad that I did.
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Herbst: My dog saved me. I was extremely lonely when moving out of my family home and Wrigley was the perfect addition to my life.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Herbst: Wrigley loves to growl at his toys and it’s funny to catch it on camera!
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Herbst: Following other dog accounts!
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Herbst: Continue to post content and hopefully grow my platform.
