Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

Nixon: It started as a way to blog my first wolfdog's journey growing up, I loved sharing her updates and talking to people about training and all sorts. As it grew then We love having adventures and sharing them with others, but we feel that we must share everything about dog life. The good, the bad, everything. Not everything is perfect and it was important to me to be honest, to create a safe space where people could come to speak to me about anything! We live in such a beautiful part of the country and we love to share that with others. If we can make someone smile or bring them some sunshine on a cloudy day then I am so happy. I love being a friendly face for advice, a chat or recommendations on great dog gear and dog-friendly spots to go.

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Nixon: They are super derpy, happy go lucky and gorgeous. They are all unique and we don’t feel any pressure to be perfect which I find makes us relatable to others. I’ve made a lot of firm friends over the years on Instagram and helped a lot of other doggos.

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

Nixon: Not really, I post about our lives, where we have been and where we go. If I am excited about it then I will share it. It really isn’t hard to come up with beautiful content in such a gorgeous part of the world. I love sharing our travels with others and showing them parts of my world. I find I’m naturally pretty creative which helps with content ideas.

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Nixon: I have dealt with a lot of negativity. I will always try to kindly educate people or engage in discussion if I feel I can learn something. Otherwise I will just leave them alone and block the comment.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Nixon: Share what you love! Don’t let the pressure of social media get to you and try and force yourself into a box. You make better content when you create things you're passionate about.

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

Nixon: My dogs are my life, they have literally saved me from abuse, depression, and giving up on life. They are always there, comforting and loving. Loyal. It makes everything richer to have them in my life. They get me up on days I don’t want to and I meet so many new people who become friends.

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Nixon: Haha I was shooting pictures at the beach. It had been super calm all day so I was standing on a rock concentrating when a wave came and splashed me right up to my bum! It was hilarious and poor Takaya was so worried.

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

Nixon: Just meeting new people and sharing the love we have for our animals. It’s a joy to be able to share our lives.

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

Nixon: Ah, we have a summer of fun and adventures coming up! New puppies and travels. We can’t wait to be creating content while on holiday and while exploring Cornwall. We have paddleboard adventures, a birthday getaway, and much more.
