Today we got the honor of interviewing Ofelia (Indi's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.

Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

When I first got my dog indigo, I was struggling at school at the time. I shared pictures of her on Instagram for my friends and family to see. Around a year ago I started online school and spent most of not all of my time with Indi.

I loved photographing her and looking back at her as a young puppy! That’s one of the main reasons why this account was started.

More people started following me and so I just sort of carried on going!

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Well, she’s a mutt (Mixed breed) that’s not very common. A French bulldog terrier mix.

I think that sets her apart from other accounts because none of them look anything like her!

We’ve had collaborations with multiple brands who have all spoken about her unique look!

I’ve never seen a dog that looks like Indi.

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

It’s mainly down to the color theme! Most of Indi's posts are pink.

Clothes, harness, accessories - All pink!

We also mainly take our photos outdoors. We live in Cornwall and there are so many lovely places to photograph! I love taking her pictures at the beach especially, or the woodland is nice too.

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Not much! I think our main challenge is getting into the algorithm.

It’s so hard to stay consistent when the algorithm is always changing, keeping up with trends as well!

I’ve sort of given up with all that and I just post what and when I want.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Go for it!!

It’s definitely worth it if you ask me. It’s a great way to look back on memories with your dog.

Don’t take it too seriously, think of it more as a photo album!

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

She helps me get out of the house, I walk her through town every day and it’s helped my confidence.

Interacting with other dog owners, although Indi is reactive.

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

I remember not long ago, the first time I took indigo into a pet shop by myself.

We were checking out and as I was paying the lady working offered Indi a treat!

I took one from the basket and gave the biscuit to Indi.

It was one of those typical dry, crusty biscuits.

As soon as I handed it to her and began to pay - She spat it onto the floor, dramatically as always, the cashier didn’t notice and I was too nervous to say anything!

Safe to say we left swiftly after that interaction. I don’t blame Indi, though!

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

Probably the creative side of it. I love photography anyways.

Making her try out new poses and tricks is always fun! (And frustrating)

I love dressing her up too. Cute jumpers and accessories like bows are great.

Finding new locations and going on walks to get content!

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

We have got a few collaborations coming up!

Indi gets sent gifts from brands sometimes and just recently she was sent a ramp! It’s so cool.

We’ve had dms from a few brands wanting to work with Indi! That’s always exciting.
