Here is their story:
Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Boone: Pepper’s influencer journey started only 4 months ago, when I started a Tiktok and Instagram as a fun way to document her sweetest and silliest moments as she grows. Since starting this journey we have gotten to connect and grow close with other dogfluencers, small businesses, and larger brands. It’s one hell of an adventure!
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Boone: Pepper is 50% sheep, 50% poodle, and 100% spicy. It’s her adorable mix of sweet and silly moments that keep her followers giggling and kicking their feet;) Her most unique quality is that she is most likely a human toddler in a dog suit, which means she is getting both smarter and stoopider by the day… she’s great at keeping her followers on their toes!!
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Boone: Honestly, there’s minimal planning on my end when it comes to the content I post of Pepper. Miss Girl kind of just does her thing and I just happen to be lucky enough to capture it. Honestly, Pepper does all the work, she’s the brain AND the beauty!
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Boone: Honestly the biggest challenge i’ve faced since starting Pepper’s influencer journey is that we STILL haven’t won any giveaways :(
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Boone: Just do it!! Not for the likes, not for the followers, but for yourself <3
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Boone: She is my best friend. My whole world. My light and reason for being. When was at my lowest and severely struggling with my mental health, Pepper found me and brought me back into the world. We have been inseparable ever since.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Boone: There was one day we were wandering The Grove, after Pepper had just taken the sweetest pictures with the easter bunny there. We were strolling down the middle of the street where the tram goes up and down, all eyes turning to cutie Pepper as always, when she suddenly stopped in the middle of everyone and took a particularly large poo. Oh my gosh everyone was dying. I’m not sure who was more embarrassed, me or Pepper (definitely me).
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Boone:The friends!! I’ve made friends from all over the world, some of which i’ve been lucky enough to meet up with and get closer to. That’s gotta be Pepper’s favorite part too, all the playdates with new furry friends!
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Boone: Pepper and I have been sniffing around the small business world, we may or may not be scheming up a fun little somethin!
