Today we got the honor of interviewing Chloe (Pickles's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.

Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

Cava: I first created Pickles’s Instagram so my family and friends could follow along her journey. I wanted to remember all of the fun times and memories with her as she grew up. I’ve always also just loved photography and video editing.

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Cava: I would say her sassy personality makes her stand out. You will always find her in a cute outfit (most likely pink) and she walks around like she knows everyone thinks she’s adorable. She also has goofy and silly moments that I love to share - like her Pupcup tantrums, and bedtime zoomies.

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

Cava: I really just go with the flow and try to just have fun with it! I'm always taking videos of Pickles no matter what I'm doing, so creativity comes pretty naturally. Whenever I capture an "Instagram worthy" video, I'll take that and see how I can turn it into a fun post, that has a purpose.

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Cava: Occasionally I do receive some negative comments on social media. I just try to focus on all the positive comments and the lovely community I have built, rather than the few negative comments.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Cava: Just start! Find what it is that makes your dog special, whether it's their cuteness or silliness, and start posting. Definitely focus on reels, and as you keep practicing and creating more, you will find what works and what doesn't. Also, just have fun with it, don't focus on the numbers.

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

Cava: Pickles has influenced my life so much outside of social media. I now spend much more time going on walks and adventures outside. She makes life so much more fun, and is always making everyone laugh.

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Cava: There's a pond I love to go to with Pickles to take her photos. She always gets excited and jumps right up onto this one rock. She'll sit and do all her tricks once I get my phone out. I'll always remember hearing this group of people saying "OMG, look! That dog is literally posing!" They came up to us after couldn't believe that how cute and well behaved she was.

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

Cava: Definitely all of the social media friends and connections we've formed along the way.

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

Cava: Nothing too crazy coming up on social media. But, I did just recently adopted a cat named Pancake. This past month I've been slowly introducing Pickles to her, and they have become the best of friends! She will for sure make some appearances on Pickles page.
