Today we got the honor of interviewing Hayley (Rosie's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.

Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

Allman: I love photography and just adore taking photos of my pup! I originally set up Rosie’s account to share with just friends and family but she soon started getting a lot of attention as she’s extremely cute!

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Allman: She has a very distinctive coloring which lots of people say they haven’t seen in cocker spaniels before. She has beautiful eyes and is just small and petite which makes her look like such a baby still! I like to keep her platform interesting by posting reels and pictures, sometimes funny, other times cute or emotional. It keeps viewers engaging rather than doing the same thing over and over.

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

Allman: I’m a very creative person so I think of lots of fun ways to showcase her and the products we promote. I get a few ideas from other reels on Instagram and then put my own twist on them by using trending sounds.

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Allman: We’re still pretty new to it, although we have 11k followers, Rosie is still only 4 months old so I’m yet to face any negativity so far, but I’m sure if I do I’ll handle it in a suitable, professional manner.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Allman: Be prepared to put the hours in, it’s not as easy as it looks. It can be very time consuming, to grow on social media you need to be consistent and engaging with your followers and other accounts in your niche. Taking content and keeping up with your accounts can be like a full-time job at times, but it’s also very rewarding.

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

Allman: Having a puppy is lovely. We love having her as part of our family, we get to go on so many new exciting adventures! It also gets my children out of the house exercising more.

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Allman: Her first time at the beach was such a fun experience. The first time she felt the sand on her paws, she went crazy, doing zoomies in the sand, spinning in circles for ages she loved it! It gave the family a good laugh too.

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

Allman: I love interacting and engaging with other accounts. You never feel alone having lots of people to talk to with one main thing in common! And I love photography, so any opportunity I get to take photos of Rosie, I’ll be there with my camera.

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

Allman: We’re still building up our account as we’ve only been active for a couple of months. We have a few collaborations lined up along with being ambassadors for several brands, so we’re just seeing how it all goes before taking any more steps. But hopefully, the future is bright for Rosie 🐶
