Here is their story:
Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Wu: In the beginning I was just sharing some daily life with Rusty. About what we do, what he eats, how we play. After a while we realize that there is so many things we learn about dogs but there are not much info about them (training, healthy food, dogs equipments and lots of other things) so as we learn more we decided that we should share the information that we learn with others. That is why we created the account. Also I am a photographer and I love taking photos of the dogs and share it with others.
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Wu: We live in Bali what I can call paradise, surrounded by beautiful beaches, forest and volcanoes. I think this is an interesting place to live in, so we wanna share those with people everywhere. Rusty is very smart, quite well trained and he loves to play on the beach and swim. Which what lots of our followers like to see. And of course nice photos helps a lot too.
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Wu: Most of the time is just where we visit and we took some photos and videos. On our daily walks quite often some ideas just popped out. Also We are inspired by lots of other creators too for sure.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Wu: Just stay positive and have fun, ignore the negativity. Life goes on… If there are negative people on social media, just take it as jokes.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Wu: Have fun, do what you love, share what you love. Follow and learn from people that inspire you. And I always try to be real and honest. People can see that and appreciate it.
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Wu: There are ups and downs but for sure they have made me more responsible, disciplined, happier and healthier.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Wu: There was one video that I took in the car with Rusty sitting on the passenger side (he was still a puppy) and he was so tired but refused to lay down, so he kind of kept falling asleep and waking up because he was trying to sleep sitting up. Every time he dozed off he leaned and almost fell to the side which woke him up and this kept happening for a few minutes.
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Wu: Just sharing information, sometimes teach others about dogs stuff.
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Wu: We would like to be more active on our Youtube channel and in the future when all is good also when we can afford it. We would love to get another dog.
