Today we got the honor of interviewing Britney (Brooks's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.

Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

Schuldt: I already had a page for a cat sibling, Shay, and mainly used it to share fun pictures of her. Then reels became popular and when I got Brooks. Besides him being adorable, Shay and Brooks’ relationship was very funny. Also, we have many pets in the Family so lots of sibling spotlights.

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Schuldt: Brooks is a big goofy boy who is only under 2 and with his sassy sister Shay, their personality easily shines through. Brooks is a typical golden but that’s what everyone loves. He’s super active, playful and so handsome. People love that about Goldens.

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

Schuldt: I spend lots of time with Brooks so get to capture his moments. I also stalk instagram for trends so a mix of let’s see what Brooks gives us and attempts to plan out ideas with the pets

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Schuldt: No negative reactions yet! But responding with kindness is my fist reaction

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Schuldt: Make sure it’s fun for you! It can be a lot of work trying to keep up, get creative and post what makes you smile

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

Schuldt: I have no more phone storage 😅 but my life has not changed. I had wanted a dog for a long time. A companion for lazy life and active life.

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Schuldt: So many! Most happen on our walks while we are working on recall. He gets so excited when he comes back and we are happy but once he refused to come and ran straight into the pond. Can’t deny a good swim apparently

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

Schuldt: Looking back at all my dogs memories, it’s an amazing time capsule

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

Schuldt: Just entered a huge growing stage. Posting consistently for me is the current goal and capturing more content.
