Today we got the honor of interviewing Hannah (Reggie's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.

Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

McCluskey: We first brought Reggie home in January 2020 and little did we know that, that year would be one like we’d never known before. I started his account as a bit of fun, to keep family updated and something to pass time during lockdown. Little did I know how many people would love him as much as we do, and how many friends we would meet along the way!

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

McCluskey: I think we truly just share the realities of having a dog. The good, the bad, the happiness they bring, the ugly parts, the funny parts, and the sad parts.

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

McCluskey: Not really. I used to be a lot more planned and try to use trending audios and stuff like that. But that takes the enjoyment out of it sometimes. So I tend to just post reality now and try to share the funny stuff and the stuff that makes me smile. Because I know that it will make others smile too.

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

McCluskey: I haven’t, and I guess I’ve been lucky to not have. I find that dog world Instagram tends to be very supportive and inclusive! I’ve experienced nothing but kindness!

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

McCluskey: JUST DO IT! You won’t regret it. It’s fun, it’s like a digital photo album of your dog's life, you’ll meet some great humans and lovely dogs!

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

McCluskey: He is honestly just the amazing friendly, loving, gentle, funny, loyal, and kind boy! He truly means the world to us!

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

McCluskey: It’s hard to choose one because we’ve had so many great adventures together. I would say our holiday to the Isle of Skye in Scotland. It was such a beautiful trip. The most memorable part was when we all went swimming in the sea together. Reggie had never seen us swim and he was super confused and kept following us around in the water to make sure we were okay 🤣

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

McCluskey: The community and the friendships I’ve built.

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

McCluskey: Nothing at the moment, we have a summer holiday booked with Reggie so we will be sharing a lot of that and we’re wishing for snow so that we can go on some snowy adventures. At the moment though, as Reggie was recently diagnosed with a rare type of cancer, we’ve been sharing the realities of that and keeping our followers and friends updated on the progress of his treatment and chemotherapy. Send your positive healing vibes our way!!! ❤️‍🩹
