Today we got the honor of interviewing Emily (Teddy & Lemon's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.
Here is their story:
Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Main:I am a photographer, so it was natural for me!
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Main:Teddy is a swimmer, as a pug that is not normal. Lemon is a very athletic pug - which is also abnormal.
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Main: Usually I think of posts when I am not on social media, I do tend to take some time to post. It takes me a while to decide on posts, reels, videos, etc.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Main: Some negativity. I try not to let it bother me.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Main: Uniqueness is very important! There are so many dogs who are on social media. The ones who have a personality via the parents, are the ones we notice.
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Main: I am more active because of my dogs. Teddy is on a bit of a weight loss journey, so we're working hard to be more active together. Lemon came to us after a loss of a wonderful senior pug and she has helped everyone (including Teddy) transition and be able to love another pug again.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Main: Teddy disappeared during a photo shoot, and he actually was just taking a nap under a car. The only way we found him was because we had the Fi collar.
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Main: Everyday is an adventure!
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Main: Travel - we are going to do more and take more photos and videos!
