Welcome to the ultimate destination for dog enthusiasts and social media mavens alike. At Dogfluencers, we're passionate about showcasing the best and brightest in the world of four-legged fame.

Whether you're looking for adorable photos, heartwarming stories, or expert tips on how to turn your own pup into a social media star, we've got you covered.

Today we got the honor of interviewing Lexie (Tilly's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.

Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

Rock: We didn't intend for her to be an influencer! We thought she was the cutest little puppy and wanted to share her cuteness with the world! We've received messages from around the world that Tilly's account makes them smile. Tilly and her Mama have made real life friends through her Instagram. The Boston Terrier community on social media is so supportive and a place we are fortunate to be a part of!

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Rock: Her account is authentic and unfiltered. If you meet her in real life, she's exactly how she is on her account! She is also very tiny (13.5 lbs). Mom and Dad are lucky to have a front row seat to her personality. She's very sweet, energetic, and doesn't know a stranger.

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

Rock: Most of her content is candid and captures a day in her life. We don't have to try hard for her to be cute, and we do our best to catch it on camera when we can! Her content is raw/unfiltered, with minimal editing. We sometimes use the Videoleap app to create her Reels.

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Rock: Combatting misinformation is always a challenge, but it also allows an excellent opportunity to engage with the community, especially for breed-specific issues or overall pet parenting best practices! We also have experienced accounts taking her content without permission or credit, which other accounts have also had to deal with.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Rock: Have fun with it! Share your dog and authentic brand. It takes time and energy to gain followers, engage with other accounts, and talk with your community (comments/DMs, etc.). Content consistency is important, but don't oversaturate feeds. If you get to the point where it is more stressful than fun, take a break! Your audience will support you when you return.

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

Rock: Tilly is my best friend in the whole world! She is my favorite travel buddy (she likes to fly), snuggle buddy, and the highlight of every day. Tilly and I are both extroverts and have met hundreds of people I would have never met without her. No matter what kind of day I have, she will always make it better! I'm so lucky to be her Mama! I love her so much, I tattooed her face on my arm. Shoutout to Loren Vieira, owner of Charlotte Tattoo Ink, for the micro-realism tattoo of Tilly.

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Rock: I worked in the U.S. Senate, and Tilly went to work with me daily. She got to ride the underground subway from the Senate to the U.S. Capitol, go into the Rotunda, attend a committee hearing, be one of the founding members of the Bipawtisan Halloween Dog Parade in the Senate, and received media coverage when she went to the Capitol with the Senator. We have so many memories from our time on Capitol Hill and are grateful for them all! She also knew which Capitol Police Officers had treats at their stations and stopped and said hi every time we passed by. On the hill, I was known as "Tilly's Mom," a title I'm proud to wear.

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

Rock: The people we've met and the number of times we've been told that Tilly's account brings happiness and joy to someone's day.

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

Rock: We just bought a house, so we're making it perfect for Tilly! We also hope to travel together this year, including seeing some of her friends from Instagram. We look forward to future collaborations and the people we'll meet along the way! Thank you to all of her followers!
