Today we got the honor of interviewing Adela (Milo & Ember's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.
Here is their story:
Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Krickova: I started Milo's instagram in 2020, during covid. He was a covid pup. I started his own because I didn't want to spam my own Instagram full of dog pictures and I wanted to capture memories of him for myself, family and closest friends. More and more people started follow along.
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Krickova: Milo is very very cute and smart. English cocker spaniels are not very popular in Canada but sure they are in Europe and Australia! I capture Milo holding his teddy bear in the Canadian nature and people enjoy it!
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Krickova: I always think about cute content, sometimes I get inspired on Instagram as well!
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Krickova: Yes of course! Sometimes people commented negatively but it's ok! I ignore it, I enjoy what I do with Milo and not all people have to agree!
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Krickova: Just enjoy time with your pup! Try find something what make them special and stick to it and try show it to the world! Enjoy capturing moments together with your pup! Of course fun clean content is important as well- nice quality pictures, engage with audience etc!
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Krickova: I am a huge dog person. I love spending time more outside since I have Milo and now new Ember and new sister to Milo! It has a huge impact on my life and less stress!
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Krickova: I have one very memorable moment. When Milo was about 3 months old we went to Kananaskis lake in November to skate. Beautiful mountains, perfect ice to skate on and just a perfect day. I captured Milo sitting on the ice and it's to this day one of the best pictures I took of Milo! Bring me to this perfect day we all loved it!
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Krickova: Community, brands partnership, meeting new influencers and becoming friends!
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Krickova: We do not have anything plan big. We just live life day to day! We enjoy sharing all with our amazing instagram family who adores my pups! We are planning to do a lot of camping and adventuring this summer!
