Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Ava Noel: My hooman thought it would be a great idea for me to start a social media account showcasing all the pooch friendly places that we’ve gone to. I immediately agreed, since I am her shadow. Everywhere my hooman goes, I go. We’re a package deal! I know other hoomans would like to bring their puppers with them on trips, when they go out to eat and when they are looking for fun outdoor trips but can sometimes be unsure on what or where to take them. With my social media account, I can help show them where to go and what to do. Along with pooch products that I like and recommend!
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Ava Noel: I manage my own social media account, so you get to talk and hear from me personally. I am sponsored and I do have a couple of brand deals, but I will not agree to anything unless I actually like the product. So you don’t have to worry about another pooch just posting random stuff for money. I stand by what I recommend. As my hooman would say, I’m a good bear!
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Ava Noel: I post whatever I am feeling that day. Sometimes I post in real time but other times I do not. Sometimes I’m having so much fun with my hooman, I forget. I try to make my posts short and to the point. Oh, and music! I always have to have a good song with my posts.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Ava Noel: So far all of the hoomans have been nice to me. Every now and then I get hoomans who DM me weird things but I’ve been told that is spam (whatever that is) and to delete it.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Ava Noel: Do it! Don’t over think anything, just be YOU! Oh, and always make sure to be honest in your posting. No one likes a bad bear! Plus, only good bears get snacks. :)
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Ava Noel: Hmmm… I don’t think I can answer this one. But if I had to pick what my hooman would say, I think she’d say that I make her life complete. My hooman is my world and I’m pretty sure I’m hers too!
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Ava Noel: Well, this one time when my hooman and I were on a roadtrip, we stopped in Arizona and visited a mine. I was the only pupper there and it was one of the coolest things I had done. We went down an old elevator mine shaft and a bunch of air came out of it as we descended. All the hoomans were nice and I got to see some cool things!
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Ava Noel: I like to share my adventures and experiences with the hoomans so they do the same. Life is short, especially for us puppers. I want to make sure all hoomans and puppers know of all the places to go and see, that way they can make memories to last a life time.
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Ava Noel: Oooh, me and my hooman have some road trip planning to share soon! Nothing beats a nice cozy pet friendly place to stay.
