Today we got the honor of interviewing Catherine (Winston's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.

Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

Holden: I started Winston’s page purely because I love the little guy and I love taking pictures of him. I also wanted to use Instagram as a scrapbook of Winston.

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Holden: Winston AKA “Weenieman” has a very quirky personality. He is full of energy and always playing and goofing off. He also has the puppy eyes nailed down. He is constantly doing them. He is one sassy sausage!

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

Holden: I post organically, which is something I think my followers appreciate. I just take photos and post stories of everyday life with the Weenieman!

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Holden: No, thankfully the Instagram community we have has been super supportive and I have made great friends through it.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Holden: Do not try to be something you think you should be. Just be you. Be organic and post what you like! When you do this, it makes it fun and you will create connections along the way!

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

Holden: He has made me so happy and has taught me not to take life so seriously. He makes me laugh all the time. Also, I left my office job to find a work from home just to be with the little dude. So, basically, he’s my whole life.

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Holden: It’s hard to say. Winston’s always goofy. He likes to roll around on his back and do the “worm” when he’s annoyed at photos. He likes to stick his tongue out like he’s being goofy. Everyday is a funny one.

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

Holden: The connections and lifelong friends I have made through this outlet. The dachshund community is amazing and are always there for you.

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

Holden: Yes, yes indeed. However, you’ll just have to follow Weenieman to find out ;)
