Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Flatekval: I love my dog and wanted to provide smiles around the world!
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Flatekval: He’s facial expressions! He is very expressive and silly. Sometimes he has a very serious face when I pull out my camera, it’s pretty funny. I think he gives his followers a good laugh and is able to provide smiles to anyone who sees his content.
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Flatekval: I try to put myself in Buddy’s shoes for the content on what he is thinking of the post I am making.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Flatekval: With one of the reels that went viral, some people started saying negative things like “he isn’t that cute” and I just ignored it. To me, he’s my fur baby and very adorable!
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Flatekval: Be yourself and try to make content based on your dogs personality. It makes their page come to life!
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Flatekval: Very positivity. I recently had a very complicated pregnancy. He was there for me through it all. Anytime I was worried or sad, he was always there by my side. He always gives me a good laugh and puts a smile on my face. It’s true that a dog is truly the best friend you could ever have. All they ever want is love and food!
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Flatekval: For Halloween I dressed Buddy in costumes. The mailman came and buddy ran to the window dressed as an astronaut. It gave both the mailman and I a good laugh!
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Flatekval: My favorite thing is being able to bring a smile to people's faces. There can be a lot of negativity in the world, so the more positive content, the better.
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Flatekval: I would love to collaborate with companies and market their content. We would love to be an ambassador to FI dogs.
