Meet Cycle Dog - based in Portland, Oregon. Cycle Dog’s goal is to create the world’s best dog products with a focus on the environment and to raise awareness of the millions of bike tubes thrown into landfills every year. Shop owner Lanette started by collecting tubes from nearby bike shops and sewing them into collars by hand. After a lot of trial and error, Cycle Dog's iconic tubed-backed dog collar came to life.
Not only is it eco-friendly, the rubber backing doesn’t allow bacteria to grow and the collars did not get stinky. No need to worry about getting it wet and dirty, these collars will hold up! Other unique features include a D-ring that also functions as a bottle opener, and a latch-lock metal buckle that is 4 times stronger than traditional plastic buckles!
