Your dog can’t tell you when something feels off. They can’t explain that they slept badly last Tuesday, or that they’ve been scratching more than usual since the weather changed, or that their energy has been quietly dropping for the past two weeks. They show you, through patterns in the way they move, rest, eat, and behave. The challenge has always been that those patterns are nearly impossible to see without a baseline. Until now.
Fi Intelligence is a first-of-its-kind AI health companion built directly into the Fi app. It lets you ask questions about your dog’s health and behavior and get answers grounded in your dog’s actual data. Not generic advice from the internet or ChatGPT. Your dog’s real patterns, analyzed and explained, personalized to their breed, age, and history.

The Dataset Behind It
Fi was built to understand dog health at a level no one else has attempted: steps, sleep, activity, behavior, tracked continuously and compared against each dog's personal baseline. It builds a personal baseline of how active dogs are on average, and it knows how active your dog is, over weeks, months, and years. It builds a personal baseline for every individual pet. And that baseline is what makes everything else possible.
Fi Intelligence draws on every data point Fi collects across your dog’s day. That includes activity and movement, sleep and rest quality, real-time behavior detection, and location history.
The behavior detection is where Fi is truly in a category of its own. Fi’s AI model detects and logs scratching, licking, eating, drinking, and barking. Across the last 30 days, Fi logged over 30 million licking events and nearly 13 million scratching events across more than a hundred thousand dogs. “Is my dog scratching more than usual?” is a question only Fi can answer; no one else has this data.
Fi Intelligence now also has document access. Pack Members can upload vet records, vaccine history, and health documents directly into the app. Fi Intelligence can then reference them to answer questions like “when is my next vaccine due?” or “what happened at my most recent vet appointment?”, putting your dog’s full health picture in one place.

What to Ask Fi Intelligence
Fi Intelligence speaks your language. Just ask your question and get a straight answer, grounded in your dog's history.
Here's how Pack Members are already using it:
- Daily health check-in. The most common entry point. Ask “How is he doing today?” or “Has anything changed this week?” and get a quick holistic snapshot like steps, sleep, eating patterns, and behavior — in a single answer.
- Activity and exercise tracking. “Am I walking him enough? Has she gotten enough activity today? Are we on track to hit her step goal?” This is the “am I a good dog parent?” question, and Fi Intelligence answers it with data instead of guilt.
- Sleep and rest monitoring. “How has he been sleeping? Is he getting enough recovery time? Are her rest patterns normal?” Fi tracks overnight sleep quality and surfaces changes relative to your dog’s personal baseline and what’s healthy for their age and breed.
- Behavior change detection. “Is he scratching more than usual? Tell me about his barking. How much is Rosie barking today?” This is the uniquely Fi use case, continuous behavior detection that no other product offers.
- Vet visit preparation. Before an appointment, ask Fi Intelligence to summarize your dog’s recent activity, sleep trends, and behavior patterns. Because Fi also has access to your uploaded health documents, it can pull together a complete picture of what’s changed since the last visit, what the data shows, and what questions might be worth raising with your vet.
The Bigger Picture
Fi Intelligence isn't a veterinary tool. It doesn't diagnose. It doesn't replace the expertise of a vet or the instinct of the person who knows and loves their dog best. What it does is close a gap that has always existed between what dogs are telling us and what we can actually hear.
A restless night. A walk cut short. More scratching than usual. Most of those signals pass by unnoticed — not because owners aren't paying attention, but because no one was keeping score.
Fi has been keeping score. And now, for the first time, we're putting that information in your hands in a useful way— conversational, personalized to your dog, and available whenever you need it. Show up to your next vet visit with data instead of a rough guess. Tell your vet not just that your dog "seemed off last week" but that their step count dropped 30% over 10 days, their sleep quality shifted three weeks ago, and their scratching frequency has increased significantly. That context changes the conversation, and it can help change outcomes.
Fi Intelligence is now available to Fi Pack Members within the Fi app. Because your dog has been trying to tell you something, and now you’ll be able to hear it.
