Today we got the honor of interviewing Amanda (Josie's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.

Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

Carpenter: Josie’s love for the beach and playful/goofy personality inspired me to start sharing our adventures on social media. We live right near the beach and go every day and I love to take videos of her beach zoomies and tons of photos. I began sharing our adventures on social media as a way to connect with other dog lovers and share the joy that Josie brings into our lives.

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Carpenter: Her pure joy for the beach can be seen in every photo and video we share. I think that our followers are drawn to the way she reminds us all to savor life's simple pleasures by seeing how happy she is at the beach. (And her beach zoomie photos are HILARIOUS)

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

Carpenter: I love to post what feels good! I try not to overthink it. I bring my camera with me almost everywhere we go and take pictures of our adventures! I feel like there’s always a camera in my hand.

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Carpenter: I’ve seen that some people worry a lot about engagement, and to each their own, but I just try to have fun! If I start to worry about how many followers or likes I get, Instagram won’t be fun anymore.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Carpenter: Have fun with it and don’t take it too seriously! Post what sparks joy and don’t compare yourself to others!

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

Carpenter: She has taught me to enjoy the little things in life! 💗

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Carpenter: Sometimes seaweed washes up onto our beach… Josie LOVES to grab it and play keep-away from me while shaking her head and seaweed flies everywhere 😂

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

Carpenter: The community has been so welcoming and we’ve met so many genuine friends here! It’s such a great community.

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

Carpenter: We hope to continue documenting our beach adventures, and maybe visit some new places this summer! Stay tuned!
