Today we got the honor of interviewing Adriana (Maya's Human). You can find a direct link to their Instagram here.

Here is their story:

Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?

Sanchez: Everything started when I made the decision to transition Maya to raw meals. I discovered this whole new community of pawrents that shared tips and ideas on how to improve my pup's life. I went through a rabbit whole learning so many things and how welcoming the pet community is. I wanted to be part of that, be that person to also help and support people that want to give the best for their fur babies. Being able to support so many small businesses is what also pushed me to start and continue sharing my pup and her meals.

What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?

Sanchez: I want to believe it’s Maya charm and charisma. It’s funny to say that about a doggo but I feel like when I post Maya you see her personality.

How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?

Sanchez: I honestly we just go with the flow, it can be difficult at times thinking of new ideas but everyday is a new day and new experiences but I mainly go off of how Maya is feeling.

Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?

Sanchez: Thankfully we have not, but we never know what the future holds, if things come to worse I would be open and communicate as much as possible.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?

Sanchez: What helped me was figuring out what you want to share ex: your pet, meals, advices, reels/videos. Also your “aesthetic” what specific vibe you want to create. Personally, that lessened my anxiety when I started posting but it’s okay if you don’t completely know! Start off with what you’re comfortable!

How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?

Sanchez: A lot! Definitely patience but also Maya helped me be more open with people and being able to start a conversation without a second thought. My doggo has allowed me to experience new places and to just live in the moment.

Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?

Sanchez: It’s never a dull moment with Maya haha but every single time, if no treats are given, she literally avoids the camera like the plague 😂.

What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?

Sanchez: Being able to chat with fur parents all around the world!

Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?

Sanchez: Maya’s 1st birthday is coming up and we’re still planning but we might do something big 👀.
