Here is their story:
Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Lombardi: I have a background in social media, so I have always knew that when I got a puppy, I was going to share their lives and our adventures together. Growing up having a dog was my biggest dream, and once I got Beau, I knew I wanted to start sharing content right away.
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Lombardi: Beau has a huge personality that shines in every photo/video. He is a big goofball and is always up to something! It has been easy to just take out my phone and start snapping pics of him just being himself. Beau is a more unique breed of doodle, an Australian Mountain Doodle, so he has the stunning coloring and eyes of an Aussie with the build of a Bernese Mountain Dog, except he has a nub instead of a full tail!! He has the cutest hazel colored eyes that bring his personality to life in photos and videos. His unique fluffy look and spunky personality really set him apart.
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Lombardi: Beau is the inspiration in simple terms. He is always up to something and it is easy to just pull out my phone and capture those moments. I try to keep it genuine to his personality and create captions with what I think he would say if he could talk! I try to create reels that showcase his personality and photos that showcase his cuteness to create a nice balance of fun AND aesthetic.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Lombardi: Some people are against the idea of a "doodle" so that can come with negative comments, but I try to just remember that everybody has their own opinion, and Beau is exactly what I needed in my situation.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Lombardi: Just go for it! Your dog has his/her own personality, so capture it, be consistent and engaging, and the rest will follow!
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Lombardi: Beau has changed my life for the better. He is a constant reminder to live every single day like it is the best day ever and to enjoy the little moments.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Lombardi: One of my favorite moments with Beau was when we were in New Hampshire exploring the northern mountains when Beau was just a few months old. We were all hanging out on the couch and Beau came wandering over with something in his mouth that he was chewing on casually, and it was huge. It turns out, he had found his way to a steak tip leftover from dinner and had the whole thing in his mouth. We obviously took it away from him immediately but his casual demeanor the whole time made it hilarious to witness.
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Lombardi: Showcasing my pup's silly personality and the memories we get to make together!
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Lombardi: We try to keep it authentic and take it day by day, so we will see! Hopefully to create more of a presence on TikTok!
