Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Dogs have a short life and I took it upon myself by taking pictures everyday and making him feel loved. And I wanted to share my love by posting about his life to inspire others to love their dog as much as I do.
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
What sets him apart from other dogs is I take Dusty quad and we travel to only dog friendly places around the states. We also do many activities like barn hunt, scent training, and agility.
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
I teach him new tricks and I get inspired by going out on hikes and being around nature.
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Yes, we have dealt with that and we responded by just being positive and explaining our reasoning. But we show love to our followers just like how God shows love to others.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
The advice I would give is post what you love doing with your dog and if people follow, great, and if they don’t, then don’t be discouraged because as long as you're happy with what you post is what matters.
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Dusty has influenced my life outside of social media by meeting other people who love their dog as much as I do where I created so many life-long friendships.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Dusty was advertising a treat bag and Dusty grabbed the treats and ran with the bag then opened it and ate it.
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
To inspire others to take not leave their dog at home and to show that you can still have fun by bringing your dog along with your adventures.
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Dusty is starting new classes for scent training at sniff and seek in New York City.
