Here is their story:
Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a dog influencer? What inspired you to start sharing your dog's adventures on social media?
Lamparelli: I started sharing posts on my dog's Instagram page as a way to document and cherish all the wonderful moments we've spent together. Each post captures a memory, from our daily adventures to special occasions, allowing me to look back and appreciate the bond we share.
What do you think sets your dog apart from other dogs on social media? What makes them unique or particularly interesting to your followers?
Lamparelli: What sets my dog apart on social media is her unique personality. Her playful energy, quirky habits, and expressive eyes captivate our followers. She always looks stoic, but is a total goof.
How do you come up with ideas for your dog's posts and content? Do you have a specific creative process?
Lamparelli: I just post what I feel like at the time!
Have you ever faced any challenges or negativity on social media, and how have you dealt with it?
Lamparelli: Not really. I don't take the account too seriously.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own dog influencer account or share their dog on social media?
Lamparelli: Be genuine.
How has your dog influenced your life outside of social media?
Lamparelli: Opal has profoundly influenced my life outside of social media in many ways. Her companionship has brought immense joy and comfort, providing emotional support during tough times. Her need for regular walks and playtime has encouraged me to be more active and spend more time outdoors, improving my physical health. She has taught me patience, responsibility, and the importance of living in the moment.
Through her, I've met new people and formed connections with other dog lovers, enriching my social life. Additionally, she has shown me the importance of advocating for pitbull-type dogs, who are often unfairly discriminated against. Her loving and gentle nature defies the negative stereotypes, and she has inspired me to speak out and educate others about the true temperament of this misunderstood breed. Overall, Opal has added a layer of happiness and fulfillment to my daily routine and has given me a purpose to help advocate for her breed.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable or funny moment you've had with your dog during one of your photo shoots or adventures?
Lamparelli: Opal is a model for my shop, Buffalo Barkery's, monthly photo fundraiser shoots. We raise money for our local shelter and spay and neuter groups. Opal takes her modeling job very seriously. During our test shoot for the ice cream cone photo, Opal carefully licked all the ice cream without touching the cone—she's not a big fan of carbs!
What is your favorite thing about being a dog influencer?
Lamparelli: Creating memories with my pup!
Lastly, what's next for you and your dog on social media? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
Lamparelli: We are taking life as it comes.
